Can’t stand him so no thanks. He’s ruined radio 2 with his crew.
Report impossible123 June 19, 2025 9:07 AM BST
A personable smart cookie. He's articulate, intelligent, informative, an excellent journalist and a very good interviewer. He can talk about most subjects without sounding arrogant or patronising, but natural and professional. He's eloquent and easily understood by viewers

I can see him doing a Michael Parkinson or Russell Harty show in the future. He can also be an astute political commentator for any premier media channels.
Report Delashay June 19, 2025 9:18 AM BST
He presents himself as that Impossible but he’s incredibly arrogant too and I find him a self absorbed bore. A real product of the beeb! Laugh
Report Delashay June 19, 2025 9:24 AM BST
Notice the traffic guy has wormed his way onto countdown and presenting euro vision?  Whilst Ken Bruce and co were forced out for these?
The move there seemed ageist.

Many others could do their jobs as equally as well - there’s a Term for these guys.

He should stick to the cricket talk because he has his fingers in far too many pies and no one person should have that monopoly within an organisation.

Comes across as smug and too clever by half on University Challenge..

Form Tesla was known for many of his inventions but did you ever hear his quote on women?

Report Delashay June 19, 2025 9:31 AM BST
Tesla explained that he once adored and worshipped women. But that his perspective had recently changed, as women had become more and more like men, striving to compete with men in so many aspects of society. “Now the soft-voiced gentle woman of my reverent worship has all but vanished,” Tesla told a reporter in 1924

At least Navratilova adores women..
Report Delashay June 19, 2025 9:34 AM BST
When you see them covered in tats and trying to out drink blokes (think of the ladettes in the 90’s) it seems more and more true! PlainSad

It’s a pleasure to see well dressed and ink free class at Ascot.
Report HappyHibby June 19, 2025 9:40 AM BST
i admire Navratilova...

she says what she thinks and even if you don't agree with everything she says surely you have to admire her for being authentic ?

and as for Amol Rajan...

i only see him on the telly interview programmes...

i like his style and he does at least touch on 'awkward' subjects from what i've seen...

i can see the 'he's a bit smug' thing tbh...

he does come across a bit that way imv...

but we're all different i suppose.
Report HappyHibby June 19, 2025 9:41 AM BST
i'm sure there were a few grunters back in the 70's and 80's aceform...

it's not a new thing imv.
Report impossible123 June 19, 2025 9:51 AM BST
I'd like to see Amol Rajan grill the MPs, local councillors and social services officials turning a blind in the areas where sexual grooming of vulnerable young white females disportionately by Pakistani minicab drivers, their friends and relatives for over two decades. I think it will be a brilliant watch as he'll not shy away from asking awkward questions.

'Delashay', I think the "plonker" will realise now I'm not you. Otherwise, he'll need sectioning.
Report Delashay June 19, 2025 9:59 AM BST
I’m not sure that he’d be comfortable to have that discussion. Some debates can’t be had as the Chair of Reform showed!
Report Delashay June 19, 2025 10:03 AM BST
Impossible you like favs I don’t! Not keen on the one in the Gold Cup today?
Report formoftheace June 19, 2025 10:09 AM BST
Looking forward to Wimbledon hibb, male and female tbh….
Report impossible123 June 19, 2025 10:16 AM BST
I do not like Illinois and Los Angeles. They're good horses but no world beaters. Also, they're hyped by AOB. I'd much prefer Jan Brueghel (quirky but more potential) over a trip of distance. Illinois and Los Angeles are good horses but no world beaters.

I've plumbed for Trawlerman for his performance against Kyprios last season. I'm hoping the best from him. He's a stayer at this distance too.
Report leif June 19, 2025 10:23 AM BST
The French horse could surprise this lot and it would be good for the game if they could break the dominance of Apob and the Brits.
Report HappyHibby June 19, 2025 11:06 AM BST
why just Wimbledon aceform ?

there are other tennis tournaments out there...

surely if you enjoy Wimbledon you'd enjoy others ?
Report HappyHibby June 19, 2025 11:07 AM BST

Report impossible123 June 19, 2025 11:35 AM BST
Why no concrete tennis courts? They have them in Badminton, Squash, and Volleyball. etc.
Report HappyHibby June 19, 2025 11:37 AM BST
Hard courts in tennis are typically made of asphalt or concrete bases, and usually coated with an acrylic top layer that provides a uniform, smooth surface.
These surfaces can vary in speed depending on the amount of sand present in the top layer, but they are generally faster than clay courts and slower than grass courts.
The acrylic layer is used to seal the surface and mark the playing lines, while providing some cushioning.
In addition to acrylic, asphalt and concrete are also examples of hard court surfaces.

If you're a 2 week a year tennis follower then Wimbledon is probably for you , then you can ask the question the wife does every year as to what do these players do for the other 50 weeks of the year   Grin

If you're an avid tennis follower that likes to be both entertained and also get involved in some unbelievable trading graphs then Roland Garros is the obvious tournament , plenty of quality rallies beyond the mass of one or two stroke exchanges on grass which can make the surface extremely tedious , especially in the earlier rounds with so many one-sided matches.

My personal preference to satisfy all desires in order will always be.....

French
USA
Australian
Wimbledon.

If we all liked the same thing wouldn't life be tedious , good luck today all      Happy
