I've not bought a pint of beer for years. I managed to smuggle a few cans into the course but by the time I drank them they were warm. I didn't have that problem when I went to Fontwell just before Christmas.

best they could do was 3rd tbh sevey so it's a well done...
still got a long way to go before i can call them 'good' tho tbh...
the defence needs blostering and they need another goalkeeper...
and they've got players out of contract and a few loan players they will probably lose in the summer...
so if they don't recruit well in the summer then next season could easily be tough imv.

I think this forum does some good highlighting this sort of thing. Be a good idea to expand it and keep a running thread of tracks that take advantage and those that don't. Green and red lists. Might get some traction.

Free entry yesterday at Salisbury for RTV subscribers. Free bus to the track from the station.
The view from the top tier of the Tatts stand at Salisbury is amazing, but it does involve climbing a staircase, which is why the numbers accessing it dwindle year by year. Only a dozen bothered for each race yesterday. Climbing stairs has become mission impossible for most of the population these days.

I own shares in syndicates - do I qualify for the scheme?
Yes, all ROA Members who invest in racehorse ownership qualify for the Racecourse Badge Scheme for Owners
So worth joining one of these syndicate groups, if you go racing 20-30 times a year, and get an ROA membership.

Why go racing when you can watch it in the comfort of your own house, decent glass of wine, some nice food and if you start feeling guilty that you should be outside enjoying the sunshine there's nothing to stop you doing a 'Captain Tom' and doing a quick lap of the garden in between races .
Failing that as most of you on here are old codgers an afternoon nap in-between races might suit you better

Over 20 years since I've been jimmast so looks like I might ha e to go just to see ! Greatest bit of aftertiming on the forum ever - I backed a winner there at 20s and the whole racecourse fell silent except for a friend and myself cheering it home, so my lasting memory of the course is somewhat biased, so it could have been the most awful place but picking up a wad of readies off the bookies makes anywhere seem great.
