Is O'Brien at York today? I understand he was missing at Chester all week. I think he'll be at York tomorrow given The Lion In Winter is running (at the moment).
No sign of him so far. I normally like to have a bet in this race but just can't find any angle at all. Form is sort of suggesting Miss Tonnerre...

The " drift " is grossly exaggerated in my view , Aidan had just cleaned up several toffee trials and the buzz put the horse in way too short initially.

Any impressed with the winner 'Whirl'? I'm not for some reason despite winning easily. The others much of a muchness perhaps.

it's a tad slow on standard but on par with the other results today
its amazing tbh ,sometimes I'll look at a race and wont bet but think to myself I don't know what will win but that cannot win .......you know the rest !
Ta. Given it's won by a fair margin the winner might be better than it looked, possibly better on softer ground.
Only saw it later and, as usual, O'Brien beat Balding who has seconditis recently. I did lay off Serentity Rules so broke even.
Storm Alert, 7-2 is no price for a horse you think hasn't trained on and will be lame in the morning.
