One not been a member long. This forum seems to be full of pocket talkers, betting degenerates (half expected) and oddly enough, obsessed with a certain member of the forum who I won't name (definitely did not expect). I wasn't expecting sparkling conversation but fair to say I was expecting more balanced and sensibility. How naive.

I’d say you’re twenty years too late if you were hoping for balanced debates and sensible discussions. The ratio is roughly 30% clowns/pocket talkers, 50% piss takers, and the final 20% are in the category you would hope for.
Not many people will be backing other peoples fancies very often. There are still some good posters who put up some nice winners, but half the fun is finding your own losers! I’d rather do my bollox on my own fancies, it’s less frustrating than losing on someone else’s. |

Didn't take long for you to find this out, Pomp. To assist there is a mechanism for blocking the posts from anyone you choose. I've just remembered this and blocked him! (Click on his icon and see the "block user" at top right.)

The "block user" button on the opening page of the thread doesn't seem to work all the time. Unfortunately the block just removes the text of the post so there is still wasted space on your topics list. Still, it helps.

The forum is rubbish and has been for years.
No one is allowed to debate anything, folk dont want to put up their thoughts and selections anymore, why should they? To be slagged off it they are wrong? Close the place down, only the addicted few would miss it. |

Sometimes you decide they not only are you not interested in what they are saying but they are annoying. There about 15 on my blocked list which is less than 1 a year so I'm not a prolific blocker. Most have gone , I think there are 2 that still post. |
