Horse thrown because jock couldn't keep it straight. If you saw the head on no surprise at all it was thrown out. Punctured the balloon for a few.

Wondersobright, that's irrelevant as it didn't affect the result. The point is the 2nd past the post was beat by a very tiny margin yet suffered significant interference. Has to be reversed. Soumillon maybe gets a small ban for the interference caused late but that interference obviously had no bearing on the result.

backed Zarigana and it would have won only for soft arse dropping his whip but dont think it would have been turned around in England.
Thats the second time i have had that race on a stewards the first one was a Khaled Abdulla horse that also won the English 1000 on a disqualification.

If it had kept straight, wouldn't have won anyway

Will Betfair pay out on Zaringa?
By:

if that's only interference in the race that aga filly should be coming off the board

They closed the book straight after the race. The result shows She's Perfect as the winner.

When: 11 May 25 16:46
Wondersobright, a horse is only disqualified in such circumstances if it improves its own position. She's Perfect caused interference which improved her position. Zarigana caused interference which didn't improve her position. Therefore She's Perfect is disqualified and Zarigana isn't. Very straightforward.

Disgusting! French cheats! Watched it back 6/7 times, absolutely nothing in that!

Field of gold run the last furlong faster than any guineas winner in the last 15 years, career defining mistake, inexcusable at group one level

Seem to remember them not throwing Dylan Thomas out in the Arc. I wonder why. The common owners of Jacqueline Quest and the filly today have been shafted imo.

She's Perfect caused interference which improved her position.

DT was under the old rules, when a horse was thrown out for causing interference if it improved the finishing position or not. Was a scandal.

Anyone backed Shes Perfect and extracted their balance? My bet on Zarigana still showing as a loser so presumably they have credited the bets on the first past the post. I can see your post Cider but Betfair were premature to settle any bets.

special duty a long time ago now but 2 classics in the stewards room wonder if aga filly can match that

Think it was the obvious and correct decision. But also agree, reverse the horses and probably stands

If people backed SP, and withdraw their balance, they'll end up with a negative balance. I seem to recall bf now have the authority to reverse the withdrawal.

Special Duty had 2 furlongs to get past JQ and couldn't manage it. Another appalling decision imo. But lets give it to the Abdullahs and Aga Khans of this world as we know who wields the power in our sport.

Significant interference and a tiny margin. The terrible Dylan Thomas decision has no bearing on this one which was very clear cut.

newmarket was a bit of carrying not much, also a huge draw bias that year
french guineas she wasn't involved in the interference iirc
