Good day to you too cuckoo. I'm not defending maxwell, I'm not a fan nor is he 'my cup of tea" as a person, but I'd rather reach a ripe old age and have lived my life in the fast lane and have some amazing memories of having ridden around some fantastic courses in some great races against the top pros of his generation than not. Fair play to him for earning the money and having the balls to go and do it , who doesn't want to live their dream ?
Sitting in an armchair regaling stories to his grand children about how this cup was won.. Fantastic for him I say.
Alternatively sitting there telling the grandchildren how he could have done these things but instead spent days on a forum commenting on people for poor jockeyship isn't quite as interesting a story to tell..
Thanks, you have a good afternoon too, just off to chelts in a minute for the hunter chase mtng, but it might be a bit too hot to move around as sweltering here.

Bloke has money - so can live his dreams even though it could impact on safety of others who want to themselves reach grand dad age. Bloke crashes his car into a tree risking safety of others but because he's ridden a winners on a racecourse then thats ok, lets send him to rehab.
Strange old way of thinking 110 but enjoy your evening.

So cuckoo you have hit the nail on the head. It's OK for people to ride in races and be a potential danger to others - because that's the nature of riding in races. BUT , if they have money you slate them because to you it's a class thing and perish the thought anyone should earn enough money to be able to follow their dreams while you can't... Yet you hide your bitterness through the veil of it being a safety issue where they are a danger to others.
I think maxwell has proved he's not a danger to others in the fact he is licensed and has ridden in hundreds of races without causing harm to others . In fact I know of several top flight jockeys who have said he's fine to ride against and they have no issue with him.
It only seems to be the pocket talkers or jealous types having a gripe because none of the racing professionals have a problem with it. Whenever I speak to any of them, if he crops up in conversation they all seem genuinely happy for him and grateful for his contribution to racing.
He does no harm to anyone and benefits all who he has horses with. Thanks, but no time to be on here

you say he shouldnt ride because hes no good, but that is subjective and many others, like novice apprentices and amateurs are a lot worse. should they go? and other ride parents horse bought for them. ellemat crout and richard patrick just 2 that spring to mind, no doubt many others. should they be gone too?
your ad hominem attacks expose you as a fool. what has drink or conspiracy loons to do with it? anti-communism is irrelevant to this fred but absolutely sensible if it was. youve been seething for some time by the look of things
good that youve vented your spleen. it might have burst

The ability of Maxwell puts others at risk That is my small gripe Nowt to do with how much money he has You dont seem to be bothered about other people. You are more concerned with the transgressor such as murphy and couldnt care less about the girl who suffers as a consequence People like you have enabled people like Murphy to hurt innocents by forgiving too easy and turning a blind eye simply because they are celebrity You also seem to be dazzled by Maxy and his deficiences because he can afford a few horses Forelock tuggers are weak people and I wont be lectured by your ilk 110.

I'm simply saying i cant take you seriously Mitolo An alcoholic who castigates conspiracy theorists as buffoons and then comes out with a conspiracy so idiotic that it defies belief Maybe you forgot in your many addled stupors but you denied that alcohol is addictive against all known medical evidence to the contrary. You know the perceived truth. Sort of makes you a blithering idiot of a conspiracy theorist doesnt it?
The world will still turn if Maxwell didnt ride and his money is not vital to the sport. Why the vehemence in defending him? You are twit who hates the world so it cant be that you care about him or the sport You are just another argumentative know nothing like upmorons. Venting his spleen as an ineffectual with a raging weakness for drink.
Get to Ukraine coward instead of looking out your window noncing at the passers by.

got 2 rides at Punchestown, a 20s shot in a hurdle race and a 7s shot in the bumper
Nothing stopping anyone laying him on here? especially at the latter shorter one there? I wouldn't lay all his rides, but he's an interesting one for considering laying if he's a shorter more fancied one - makes the calculation more interesting for sure.

Stu the brainiacs have already said maxwell has a good win rate and place rate so blindly laying him is not wise Of course they made no reference to the odds of his horses which as we all know is key to profit Clowns

you dodged the point about his riding ability and its relation to others much worse. you will see dozens riding tonight at chelt who make him look like piggot. no doubt youd ban them?
wheres the conspiracy you mention? you a putinite? sounds like you might be. thinking him a brutal dictator and decrying his invasion is hardly cowardly. i didnt rush off to georgia either when he invaded, but i was against that also. try and stick to the point. if you can

Yet you despise conspiracy theories? Are you getting it yet? Hypocritical aren't you? I really can't explain it to you any clearer 3rd bottle today?

Like I say, I wouldn't blind lay his rides for sure - or anyone for that matter.
But one filter I do find interesting is analysing his selections when they are on the more fancied runners. Still doesn't mean blind laying of course, just that it becomes interested to look at them for value IMO.

Birdbrain,if half a ton of racehorse decides to go left no jockey born could stop it from doing so. He didn't cause any rider a problem but,of course, that does not fit in with your class agenda. The proper racing is starting soon so I will leave you to seethe and rant on. Have you tried a cuttle fish?

I'm singling out Maxwell. Name another jockey who has less control and is a danger and give me a link to the race showing it. There is no doubt he has bought his way in and the authorities turn a blind eye to it Name me a jockey. Bryony Frost was considered dangerous by some and she's miles better than Maxwell Dunne is a jockey so he should know, or are you wiser than he? More experienced?

Didn't see the race live, so after all this I just watched the replay. Very strange that there has been no mention at all of Edward Sexton veering left across the track after 3 furlongs when leading the field and putting himself out of the race. As was said earlier, when a horse decides to do something that extreme, there is very little any jockey can do. I thought Mr Maxwell rode a fine race and was just unlucky that the horse decided to hang badly left in the final furlong when the winner got upsides him. Fwiw I am not convinced he would have won anyway as Mr James is stronger in the finish and had the momentum.

Its a good job you are not interested because you are making a right pigs ear of this burning issue of the day If only I could come up with a legally binding premise to get rid of Maxwell to appease an irrelevance such as yourself. I have an opinion. You dont share it Now bore off

Maxwell and Derham were just interviewed on RTE(know most haven't that) and Derham was asked about his bumper chances, blah blah blah, Maxwell pipes up 'we can win it'.
Yesterday is dead and gone,DM's enthusiasm was refreshing,ki almost considered following him but better ground and the closeness of the Sandown field says no, gl to the guy though.

I understand lamenting the loss of buildings that served a purpose for often centuries.I'd imagine the Mother RC could fit into that category. Often the rose tinted specs are on with nostalgia and the reality of what they really were gets sidelined a bit.
Seems to be backed a bit DM, probably on the back of that interview, still the heavy question bothered me too much.

A great loss. Hopefully his enthusiasm for the sport of NH racing will not deminish now he has retired from the saddle.
He has much still to contribute to the sport as an owner, and hopefully, in the future as an influence on racing politics.
A brave man who always knew his limitations in the saddle but never let that get in the way of his support for jumping. Always listened to his professional counterparts and took advice from them very seriously.

That would not be possible,poncho.
