Oh, he's an amateur rider. I thought he was associated with Robert Maxwell, the pension thief.

Worst scenario for blind mug punters requiring a get out via a 'shortie' in the last race of the day.
no better than evens given the pilot but keep it odds on to draw the mugs in.

BREAKING: David Maxwell has announced his retirement

A great loss. Hopefully his enthusiasm for the sport of NH racing will not deminish now he has retired from the saddle.

He has much still to contribute to the sport as an owner, and hopefully, in the future as an influence on racing politics.

A brave man who always knew his limitations in the saddle but never let that get in the way of his support for jumping. Always listened to his professional counterparts and took advice from them very seriously.

Good luck to him had the guts to do what he wanted how many of you wished you had tried something that you wanted to do, but bottled it. Forget the money , a true amateur enjoying his life.

Perhaps because he rode in the style of a gorilla with co-ordination issues.

When: 25 Oct 25 11:26
That would not be possible,poncho.
A man of integrity who turned down £600,000 for El Cairos three weeks ago because he had told Tatersalls he woulndn't sell any privately before the Sales. The horse fetched £410,000 at the Sales and he was not bothered in the slightest.
A man whose word is more important to him than an extra £200,000

He gave his word poncho, something many on here have no understanding of.
