Hi all,
Slippy has recently updated me on his treatment and unfortunatley he has developed a high tempreture and a localised area of highly sensitive tissue on his left lung. He needs further antibiotic treatment and a drain put in to drain the liquid and further tests and will remain in ICU for a further 5-7 days. a bit of a disapointing setback but as always he remains in high sprits and thanks the forum members for their kind words and best wishes. I will keep uall updated as i here more from him. Thanks for your continued support for SB. ![]() |

Hi all
Slippy has contacted me to say he is now out of the ICU and is recovering at home. ![]() he said that he has been completely overwhelmed by everyones kind messages and has found it really humbling. he is set for a long haul after such a massive op and is on Oxycodone for 28 days. he has carers coming in to look after him 4 days a week and is continually supported by his family. he is on 40 pills a day and cant sit up so its difficult to read or return messages. he wont be on the forum for some time and reckons it will be a 6 month recovery period. so its great news that he is now home and is on the long road to recovery. i will of course keep you all updated on his progress over the coming months. thanks to you all for your kind words and messages which means a lot to him in his journey to recovery. the forum at its best for sure. lets hope palace can win the fa cup for him ![]() |

slippy is a forum blueblood. He went missing in Landan for three days after all his Ante post vouchers (on his greyhound namesake) not to mention his at the track on the night bookie bashing bets, on Slippy Blue came good on Derby Final night 1990. An absolute legend who's talked the talk AND walked the walk.
Get well soon you EAGLE. |

To access an internet forum using voice commands, you'll need a voice-enabled platform like Google Assistant on Android or a voice access feature like Voice Access on Windows. These tools allow you to control your device and navigate online content with voice commands, including accessing and interacting with internet forums.
Pretty sure there are a couple of folk who have done this The leopard for one, can't remember other one. Back in the day a friend got motor neurone and we managed to get him hooked up via voice, it was good and I expected we would all be using it, but seems not. |

SB continues his recovery at home and continuew with the pin killers hes hoping the pain will plateau and begin to ease by Monday .
Otherwise the slow long road to recovery continued to progress. he must be beginning to progress as he has told me he may make a placepot bet at the weekend! so thats good news. As always will keep u posted on his progress as and when I can. |
|
By:
Was just about to ask Slippy to post his placepot numbers as it seems destined to be a good one but then realized if we all backed it his dividend would be lower , so keep it to yourself mate
![]() Best of luck in health & punting ![]() |

Real shame he can’t go dragon with respect to palace its 35 years since they last played in the cup final it may be a longtime till they play in the next and whilst the charity shield is still a trip to Wembley it’s nowhere near the same.
I only ever went to one charity shield a certain Kenny dalgliesh made his debut in an incredibly boring goalless draw, no penalty shootout them days as nobody really gave a toss who won it |
|
By:
true jim .. i think hes just glad to get over the op and is writing the summer off. he has said he will post again when he is able but that maybe sometime yet.
