I think his tank was near empty when beating Sharjah at Aintree over 20f. Otherwise, he'd be popping over fences and aiming for the blue riband race at Cheltenham.

"staying" is relative, I definitely wouldn't stay a marathon but I might be able to walk it...... nearly winning a 3 mile point on debut is not comparable to running in an Ascot Gold Cup against group 1 stayers.

Correct, using the PTP run as guide to if it stays 3miles isn't a strong formline. The horse that beat it only ever won over 2 miles
