Do shops,still rule the roost.

The reason the Easter racing is rubbish,is because,back in the day,shop turnover decided,fixture list.

Given,city centres,were shut,so low footfall,low shop betting,2 bank holidays.

Are the shops still the big boys these days.

If so,fair enough.

But Redcar,being main meeting,sums it up.

They got the Good Friday betting,but Easter weekend has to be the worst 4 days racing of the year.if shops still steer the ship,which I doubt,then why does this still happen.

They ll drag everyone away from families at Christmas,but basically,Easter is a week off.

Missed opportunity.

Bit of a tie up with the caravan,mobile home industry.

Could see a touring gold cup,horning stakes,static staying race.tow bar Guineas sponsored by Ifor williams.

Yarmouth has to be the royal ascot of Easter.which Newmarket will like,cos down the road.
