This is so frustratingly temperamental and seems to play race-videos when it feels like!
When a race is in progress, it's playing recordings of some runners' previous races...and then the next race, it'll play fine.
I've seen many other threads complaining about other issues but I've never seen it as bad as this.

Has anyone got some helpful information about this?
I'm starting to think it's only ME who's affected
as there'd be many threads about such ineptitude.

I can't understand how it's happened - the ignorant bástards at Skybet
can't be arsed replying to my email from a few days ago and I haven't

Through the last couple odd years I've always felt that the delay at Beverley has felt worse than other tracks....could explain why it's smoother
it's affecting lots of people , there are plenty of posts around Herbie.
i asked Betfair last night to look at it swifty...
early days today wasn't too bad...
only Perth was a bit iffy...
slowly but surely it has got worse through the day...
Beverley seems fine but the rest are awful now...
i have no idea how it all hangs together but there is no doubt that something is badly wrong with it...
and yes i know it doesn't affect EVERYONE but those affected are BADLY affected...
i've told Betfair i won't be carrying on with it like this much more and i would suggest i won't be the only one...

there is something wrong with a setup where this is the case imv...
as plenty are using drones it won't be affecting Betfair much...

I honestly don't think Betfair follow up anything Hibby. They clearly don't believe it affects liquidity enough to demand a better service from the third party provider. As you say because it can be fine at times BF shouldn't accept it and should withhold payments etc.
They do not give a toss about In Running Horse Racing

uptheirons, I don't think you're too far wrong with that statement when you work out what they really make from commission on some races. But they and other bookies should demand a smoother video for all other punters who'd like to watch a race properly.

Now I really am at the limit of my knowledge, but I think at some of the tracks (maybe the less remote ones?) the video providers have laid fibre-optic cables, whereas at others they rely on satellite links or point-to-point microwave links. But that would only be a cause if it were always the same tracks that were good or bad?
upintheirons/swifty - I'd say it's the video providers who don't care about in-running betting because most of their customers (the bookies) don't offer it as a mainstream product. So why would they pay to upgrade their service for one customer (BF) who have a portion of their business reliant on it? I can't see Hills etc putting their hand in their pockets to cover a share of improving the quality of video when that has little or no revenue impact for them?

from memory it does seem to be worse when there are more meetings tbh.

one thing i do find surprising with the RTV LV product...
is EVERY race on the day is active (green on the LV playlist)...
that surely can't help things ?

races should only go 'active' 3 minutes befor the race...

Is it just Betfair and Skybet? Both are useless.

if you remain logged in for an hour...even though I don't even place a bet!
I've had warnings that I'm gonna have to have a telephone assessment and intrusive demands
for ID & bank statements...despite explaining to them that I'd had just TWO bets in a 6 hr
period even though I was logged in - that's utter madness...so fcuk 'em!
I can't believe they're the only site that functions properly.
I can't be ársed with the grief from them so I'd rather watch elsewhere...but several seem
to be failing - which ones are the most reliable (not bothered about the speed) without
them demanding my DNA or an anál swab from me?

no idea if they can do anything about how it gets from them to us...

It's certainly the way to go. BF are the ones who have the commercial relationship with the provider.

Can someone advise as to which is the most reliable website to watch live racing pictures
(with full screen available) as it looks to me like 365 is the only one that works.
Betfair, Skybet & Hills are all fcuked...so a decent recommendation would be most appreciated.
