To be fair he did learn his trade via the BHA Graduate Scheme so he's the real deal.

In the old days when bookies were taking bets we'd had Templegate and Mirror Boy (I think). The former was prolific tipping winners esp his nap. But, they were incognito, and not paraded on tv. Even 'Bismarck' played with his own money when he came on Channel 4 Racing.

I wonder if they'll use Blake much after his little rant on the weighed in podcast.."if you're a racing fan it racing is not for you"..we know that but to hear it from one of their own is amusing..especially the guy who started going on about stride patterns etc not that long ago

I might have been lucky with Templegate. I can still remember staking £30 on one of his 11/10 nap (I'd no idea of its credential or form, just the trainer). My betting philosophy then was I'd "buy" money with money akin to stock picking/speculating; I even bet £30 on Shergar winning the computer "simulated" race of all past Epsom Derby winners.

hes been tipping on the SBK podcast with Jess Stafford and Ross Millar for sometime, for most of the winter been out in the middle east, is an AW specialist like HT, doesn't run a profit and loss like all professional tipsters should do.

So if he is an all weather specialist what's he doing on a programme that is supposed to be about highlighting the best that racing has got to offer? Not very likely he will be putting up three tips from Woverhampton.

He mainly does USA flat racing runs a patreon subscription which is usually profitable

Regarding Templegate (can't remember the guys name) he had an incredible winning run about 12-15 years ago. Then it all went pear-shaped and he had a terrible time. Packed the game up and I heard he'd gone nuts. Something similar happened to Mel Collier as Pricewise but don't know details.
