Pathetic, I say. I've never even heard of him. A "professional" tipster at his age? This will not happen in The City where a track record and a vast experience are the key prerequisites, at least.
By:
To be fair he did learn his trade via the BHA Graduate Scheme so he's the real deal.
By:
A graduate scheme for tipsters, now i know the worlds gone mad. Give the lad a chance though, he's already heading for a combover and he's only just started.
By:
Grayhawk will be delighted..he used to avidly follow the RP teaboys tips..a goldmine laying them..
By:
It's his age that's got him the gig. They don't want to give the impression that the sport is just frequented by a bunch of old farts. Nice little earner for him. I wonder how much he gets for five minutes?
By:
Impossible. .. ... I've never heard of him.
Doesn't surprise when you never heard of George Formby lol |
By:
In the old days when bookies were taking bets we'd had Templegate and Mirror Boy (I think). The former was prolific tipping winners esp his nap. But, they were incognito, and not paraded on tv. Even 'Bismarck' played with his own money when he came on Channel 4 Racing.
By:
I wonder if they'll use Blake much after his little rant on the weighed in podcast.."if you're a racing fan it racing is not for you"..we know that but to hear it from one of their own is amusing..especially the guy who started going on about stride patterns etc not that long ago

By:
Impossible
I don't recall Temple gate being prolific in picking winners, maybe over a short period, but I may be wrong I seem to recall that the Naps table which had about 50 newspaper tipsters in it, being won every season by someone with a slight profit, if that |

By:
Lead on, did you leave a word out of that quote?
By:
Don't matter how old he is if he knows his stuff & can tip Wnrs.
By:
I might have been lucky with Templegate. I can still remember staking £30 on one of his 11/10 nap (I'd no idea of its credential or form, just the trainer). My betting philosophy then was I'd "buy" money with money akin to stock picking/speculating; I even bet £30 on Shergar winning the computer "simulated" race of all past Epsom Derby winners.
By:
Sorry Reg..I left out the v of itv racing..just a rough paraphrase of the quote anyway..
By:
The bookies always win. This is what I always subscribe to. Any winning is only borrowed.
By:
seems it's national week, shout out for doug muscrop/underarm or whatever name he went buy who had a brilliant record ion the natiopnalion my localgazette.my mam followed him religiously in national and got rewarded with LAST SUSPECT, 66,s and MAORI VENTURTE 40,s to name 2

hes been tipping on the SBK podcast with Jess Stafford and Ross Millar for sometime, for most of the winter been out in the middle east, is an AW specialist like HT, doesn't run a profit and loss like all professional tipsters should do.
By:
So if he is an all weather specialist what's he doing on a programme that is supposed to be about highlighting the best that racing has got to offer? Not very likely he will be putting up three tips from Woverhampton.
By:
He mainly does USA flat racing runs a patreon subscription which is usually profitable

Agree Glasgow. He talked sense so let's give him a chance.
Regarding Templegate (can't remember the guys name) he had an incredible winning run about 12-15 years ago. Then it all went pear-shaped and he had a terrible time. Packed the game up and I heard he'd gone nuts. Something similar happened to Mel Collier as Pricewise but don't know details. |
By:
I see he sets his own prices.

Tipping Tommy mallet,had a whackaday,
Even price wise, pre Tommy, got 14 weeks on the run, weaver got a 66/1 shot on day 1 of itv racing. Think Tommy tipping mallet, might be a slow burner. Tipped 2 on the all weather. Think viewers might like a tip in the main races of the day, otherwise ,a bit pointless. Next week,Tommy tipping mallet, might tip both team to score,in the Brazilian under 18s women’s friendly. Stating,I’m a professional tipster, and no one would never have a bet in the national, too many runners. |
