That Levy lad certainly likes to cause carnage on betfair. 
Carver had used 5 of his 6 strikes before the furlong pole, which I'm not sure was necessary, but probably explains why he was reluctant to use the persuader inside the final furlong.
When I become a BHA-approved jockey coach, I'll be telling my budding jockeys that they need to be saving their whip strokes for where it matters most ie inside the final furlong, so you just have to be pushing away before then.
