Horrible looking fall involving thumping into the ground and rolling horses.
Hope he's Okay |

By:
Fingers crossed for the young lad

Fingers crossed.
By:
Hopefully not as bad as it looked
By:
poor lad and family - finger and toes crossed
By:
does make you remember how vulnerable they are, a bit of a helmet and a back brace isn't much protection with falls like that, hoping they are just playing safe and he's ok,
brave lads and lasses |
By:
Abandoned
By:
did they give any update tom i don't watch the tv?
By:
I'd point the trainers toward situations like this as the difference between them and the jockeys when it comes to being paid for an interview.
By:
They didn't mate,
By:
ok ty, just hope for the lad
By:
Not a good sign if they abandoned the rest of the card. Air ambulance or not :(
By:
whers the ambulance coming from? taking an age
not a good sign. poor bugger |
By:
ambulance was there a while ago they were attending to him
By:
Air ambulance still in attendance.
By:
That doesn't sound great but they won't take any chances and will take all the time they need to stabilise him
By:
Can't really see any updates, apart from he is now at Cork University Hospital
By:
Michael stabilised before being taken by air ambulance to Cork University.
By:
Hospital.

Hoping he gets through this,if this is accurate it's not what we were hoping to hear. ![]() |

By:
'Drifting in and out of consciousness', 'went to hospital in critical condition '. Frightening stuff. Best wishes to the lad.
By:
That's pretty grim leading, wishing him all the best for a full recovery.
By:
Hopefully he will make a full recovery.
By:
Horrible sport at times…...speedy recovery to the brave guy….more bottle than me…
By:
I was there today and watched the race not a nice sight, a sombre mood descended very quickly and all our thoughts are with Michael...Please God all ends well for him...
By:
Sending best wishes to this young jockey and hoping he recovers from his injuries, glad i was out at the time and missed this horrendous fall.
By:
latest from the IHRB, Michael IS in the intensive unit being treated for his injuries, and is receiving the best medical care.
"Micheal's family wish to express their gratitude for all the well wishes" hoping for a speedy recovery. |
By:
I hope his injury is none too serious. I must admit I find it stressful and sad reading threads or health reports of NH jockeys coming a cropper at the track.
By:
Has there been any updates? The lack of news is worrying - what a poor guy.
By:
as in the UK, updates come from the Jockeys Chief Medical Officer, none since this morning.
By:
no change in Michael's condition, latest from Chief Medical Officer.
By:
No further deterioration in his condition which hopefully is a crumb of good news for Michael.
