my timings were right Mr.Hunt...
all i would say was Betfair suspended it and it was a good 3-4 minutes before the result was announced. |
|
By:
a rather remarkable change of mind .....
.... at around about the same time the stewards would be wrapping up their enquiry |
|
By:
knottbetfair often pre empt to halt sweepers....i would say if people knew in advance the betting would be swing massively and greed knows no bounds.
|
|
By:
backing it down to 1.01 if you knew the result would be a clear sign you knew the result.
whoever it is isn't that daft ... |
|
By:
cant do nixi if was before the official announcement.

THE GAMBLE RESPONSIBLY AT BETUK HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6)
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after several incidents of interference from approaching the final furlong through to the finish line involving the winner, PAYMENT PLAN, ridden by Lewis Edmunds and EASTER ICON, placed second, ridden by George Bass. The Stewards considered that the interference had improved PAYMENT PLAN’s placing as EASTER ICON had been impeded to varying degrees on three separate occasions as a result of PAYMENT PLAN shifting right-handed. In the first incident approaching the final furlong PAYMENT PLAN shifted quickly right-handed away from the whip before being corrected by Edmunds briefly intimidating EASTER ICON, before approaching the half-furlong marker PAYMENT PLAN hung right-handed despite Edmund’s best efforts this time hampering EASTER ICON, which was moved off its intended line. Finally over the concluding stages PAYMENT PLAN hung right-handed into the whip and gave EASTER ICON a hefty bump, notably unbalancing the gelding which was also moved several horse widths off its intended line. Taking into account the ground and momentum lost by EASTER ICON, which finished strongly to be beaten a short head, the placings were revised as follows: FIRST: EASTER ICON; SECOND: PAYMENT PLAN; THIRD DAARIS (IRE); FOURTH: SIR JOSEPH SWAN. The first and second pieces of interference were found to be accidental, however in the third incident Edmunds was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he had taken insufficient steps to prevent his mount from hanging right-handed, thereby causing interference to EASTER ICON off its intended line. on that basis the 2nd should have bin 1.05 to get the race. |

Anyone know a link to see the head on? I've watched the replay a doxen times and can't see the final bump being described as "hefty".

The price flip flopped when they showed the head on the 2nd time, I think the first time was easy to miss was only on for a few seconds
