Have any of you had experience with Vodaphone broadband,i am currently with BT. my speed is 65 mpbs,is it worth changing or is it better the devil you know! thank you in anticipation.
Not sure whats up with yours but I have a basic Vodaphone Hub ( £22 a Month ) and have just run a speed test ...
144.6
Mbps download
9.22
Mbps upload
Latency: 22 ms Server: Dublin Your Internet connection is very fast.
Your Internet connection should be able to handle multiple devices streaming HD videos, video conferencing and gaming at the same time.

all hire the lines from open reach..only difference is the router the supplier sends.

I’m no expert on speeds, but I think if you’re getting 65mbps with BT then that’s good enough to do whatever you’d need. Never tried Vodaphone. Unless it’s a decent saving I think I’d stick with what I’ve got.

thats incorrect a few companies have lines independent of open-reach (virgin being one) plus local companies we have one in Aberdeen

even if it was tell them you're thinking about going elsewhere and see how badly they want you to stay, in monetary terms

I’m guessing this, but hunch based on different conversations.
Basically, espically BT,try and drip feed your bandwidth, speed etc,to an acceptable level that suits your household need.
Like a DJ on a mixing deck, they tweak up or down, based on complaints, non compliants.
Every house is different.
Report a fault on their on line app system, takes 5 mins.
I m guessing,but they then turn up the bass,pump up the volume,worth a try,even if I’m wrong.

unless you're downloading vast amounts of data, films etc there is simply no need for 3 figure download speeds,my bt infinity in office has speeds of about 60 down 20 up...is very stable and more than enough for bf and blv.
people go way overboard re internet speeds.unless you're downloading vast amounts of data, films etc there is simply no need for 3 figure download speeds,my bt infinity in office has speeds of about 60 down 20 up...is very stable and more than enough
is that cabled or do you connect via your nearest mast as per a mobile phone does ?
and how long have you had that £22 pm contract coz it sounds cheap to me and it's likely you will get a price hike after your initial contract runs out (i could be wrong tho) ?

As others have mentioned Open Reach are most likely responsible for the cabling infrastructure. The speed will be the same at any given tier for any Service Provider and differences will come down to the router you get, availability of Wi-Fi calling, service reliability and customer support. The 65Mbps is a little bit lower than the 76Mbps tier which fibre to the cabinet provides which suggests that is the max you will probably be able to get (unless fibre to the home is available for your premise).

but i think you can get a fibre deal that uses mobile phone signals (the EE advert on the telly does that i think)...
but it sounds like you just hop on BT Openreach even tho you have a contract with Vodafone.
is it cabled GC ?i would think so...but i think you can get a fibre deal that uses mobile phone signals (the EE advert on the telly does that i think)...but it sounds like you just hop on BT Openreach even tho you have a contract with Vodafone.
