Hard to believe you will see a more pathetic run from a well backed favourite all season. He was a million from kick off. I expected him to try and make all, but instead he gave away six cheap lengths, and looked almost legless on the run to the first. He continued to lose ground at every single fence, looking as if every fence was a mountain. The jock waited until he was completely out of contention before making a token gesture. He rode it as if he had zero confidence the horse would do anything, and he was absolutely correct. In simple terms the horse wasn't in any shape to be on a racecourse. They will ask for explanation, but as ever the process will be pointless.

False favourite by the bookies? Who on earth would back one from that stable after a lay off more than a year with a long term record of just 7 winners from 199 starters or 1 from 66 last six years.

Didn't race from the front this time either. Just maybe the the race was needed LTO after the huge lay off? I always find they seem to improve for a first run over fences under rules too.

Stable didn't seem to have a clue the horse was going to run better after a run
