To be fair to Tommo, he did realise that he did not recognise the horse, which is an advance over some commentators.
Has he said anything since? Had he dropped his racecard, for instance? |

I find the Ayr c**k up far less irksome than his ingrained repetitious style where every commentary follows the same script regardless of what's actually happening. Who hasn't mixed up the colours now and again without the pressure of commentating on it.

Thommo is stuck in the early 1980's unable to comprehend that people can now see their one is clearly beaten. even tries to stir excitement by calling photo's when its not even close, far sides won a length Derek.

Has there been a central diktat that all commentaries have to come from the Extel age?
The commentator ignores the changing lead because he is too busy naming every horse in the race even if they are tailed off, and not just naming the horses and jockeys but describing their colours as well. And come to think of it, where are the lady commentators? There is no physical strength needed |
