as an aside, christmas day was a working day in Scotland right through to the 1960s..

Presbyterians dont/didnt "celebrate" Christmas, as it is considered a catholic tradition..lol

X'mas is a special time of the year. It's just wonderful to see the little faces light up when presented with their presents. I think it's also appreciated by most adults too even those without children.

Whoever is signing these off (cancelling events) need an absolute thrashing sorry

The weather isn't even remotely bad, it wasn't even forecast to be bad

They are doing this to normalise no more celebrations, and if people keep letting the scum rats do it its fooking ridiculous

The Scot’s might be pleased becoming poofters and shirtlifters, this is a vast improvement of the 80s and 90s where they were seen has smack heads and alkies.

Cuddling up in bed rather than drinking whisky was seen as a better way to survive the harsh winter.

Roggrain …… the cancellation be may be more to do with the Council’s paranoia of possible litigation by visitors, mainly Americans,in case they are injured by flying “street furniture “.At around £30 a head entry, they are all barking mad in any case.
