I hate Boxing Day. It gets in the way of X'mas. Some of the racing creeps on tv spoil it big time.

Mr Mullins withdrew Vroom Vroom Mag 30 mins before a race at Sandown after conceding the Trainer's title to Pumpkin. He'd a bit of a stomp post his failure to win the Trainer's title.

I think the mare at 5/4 is a stonking price even if Constitution Hill turns up.

I hope Constitution Hill turns up which will mean Sir Gino will duel with Ballyburn the next day. And, if Constitution Hill is as good as what Hendo has led us to believe the last few days, and back to very near his previous best I think he'll beat the mare from Ireland.

Latest Hendo vid  " You don't know what weights they carried " ( CH / Sir Gino gallop )  No because you didn't tell us.

Why would he say that?.....According to Hendo he likes to be open and honest about Constitution Hill but i am not telling you what the weights were.LaughLaugh.....I am guessing no lead was involved.Laugh

After getting stuffed by SG in that gallop and also, with all these minor problems - id be amazed if it could beat a race fit Lossie.  Amazed.

"Wake up guys he's never been injured"

Perhaps some fuller and more regular updates would have put any speculation to bed then Mr Buckley.

All these horses with issues never come back to what they were. Mentally when you have had problems animals and humans cant push themselves in the heat of battle as much as they did during their time at the very top. When when CH faces a race fit rival like Lossiemouth and push comes to shove it will be beat imo. Just my opinion though. As for Buckly how an earth does his view mean anything. He doesn't train or ride it and due to being owner he's bias and emotionally attached

" cant push themselves in the heat of battle as much as they did during their time at the very top"     When did he not p1ss up ?   If there is real confidence behind CH he will be fav. But I admit if Lossiemouth is strong fav u would be worried.

whats the price one or both don't turn up?
By:

When: 23 Dec 24 13:58
Both have been declared. I'd go for the mare betting wise here. This way I'll get a financial reward, and antepost either way unless a total blowout from these two principals. My heart wants Constitution Hill however, 7lbs advantage to the mare for not a fully-fit horse is a very tall order, I reckon.

I'm in team Lossiemouth for this. She's going to be hard to beat getting 7lbs. There's still plenty of time between now and Boxing Day for a stone bruise!! Laugh I could even see the scenario where Constitution Hill gets pulled up after a furlong or two and then gets retired a few days later, similar to Istabraq back in the day. Lossiemouth 10/11 with my firm so it's not a betting race for me but it will be fascinating to watch whatever happens. Good luck if punting.

The interesting thing for me in all this is if CH runs but is disappointing will SG be pulled out of the novice chase to once again take up the primary Champion Hurdle horse from the stable.

unfortunately on this occasion your not betting on who is the best, its about gauging how fit Constitution Hill is, only Henderson and his team will know and they wont be telling us plebs. Even as a Lossiemouth fan, she is not within 10l of a primed Constitution Hill,

what would the prices be for CH being fit and Lossiemouth coming back after an injury? Double figs the mare I expect.

Constitution Hill is a generational talent and if primed will win

Listen and listen good.....I have been watching Racing for over 50 Years and i have Never seen a Horse Quicken up like Lossiemouth did when beating Teahupoo last time out, as freakish a performance as i have ever seen and that includes anything that Constitution Hill has done. And dont be telling me Teahupoo is a slow boat either he has Won plenty Races over 2 Miles.

" Quickening up" as opposed to the trees marking time acey? Name one race the teapot won over 2 miles that was within 20 lb+ of CH not breaking set?

If CH wins he'll be fav. If State Man wins he'll be fav. However, if Lossiemouth wins her price will not contract either.

I really like Lump Sum as a horse and a potential festival winner.i can understand why he goes to Kempton with the prize money involved but still a bit disappointing to see him go there and a bit of a puzzle where he will go next, depending on how he runs of course,

Has to be 100s of better value odds on shots than Lossiemouth trying to beat the best hurdler we have seen in decades! A rusty Constitution Hill could still be good enough (as they say he hasnt been injured).

World's Biggest Liar

World's Biggest Liar is an annual competition for telling lies, held in Cumbria, England. Competitors from around the world have five minutes to tell the biggest and most convincing lie they can.[1] Competition rules bar the use of props or scripts. Politicians and lawyers are not allowed to enter the competition, because "they are judged to be too skilled at telling porkies".[2]

History
The World's Biggest Liar competition is held every November at the Bridge Inn, Santon Bridge, in memory of Will Ritson (1808–1890), a pub landlord[3] from Wasdale, who was well known for his "tall tales".[4] One of Ritson's most famous fibs was that turnips grew so large in the Lake District that people carved them out to make cow sheds.[4]

Recent competitions
In 2024, Tobymugaryliar from the Betfair forum was named the world's biggest liar after telling a story about how he was crowned King of the Betfair Forum.
This accolade was achieved after he claimed to have caught 2 x 250lb tuna, coincidentally the same 2 tuna an Italian gentleman caught and verified. He also claimed to have laid City of Troy for £155,000 but still claimed a £7,000 prophet on the event.Often claims he's +862 LSP despite retiring from the Div 2 comp when in 22nd plaice. He also claims to have for sale a betting cistern for £600,000 with offers welcome.
