I'd agree. Constitution Hill (11/8) needs to be 3/1 before I'd consider backing him. But, I'd not back Lossiemouth either at 11/10; I'd back Sir Gino against Lossiemouth at Kempton.

Sir Gino would not get near Losiemouth giving her 7lbs imho.

Sir gino along with ballyburn entered in the wayward lad chase at kempton a race which incredibly saw sprinter sacre go off second favourite,

Of course zero chance of both running

Yes Zero chance Ballyburn stays in Ireland.

Who's that 'acey'? I recognise the colours, but not the horse. It could not be Desert Orchid either.

I concur on Ballyburn. Mr Mullins will not run Ballyburn against Sir Gino until next March at Cheltenham. The former will be redirected somewhere (most probably Ireland) unless Constitution Hill is an absentee against.

Similarly, Fact To File will not run against Galopin Des Champ (again) until next March at Cheltenham too. Another hard race would be counterproductive, I'd imagine.

I'd even nominate an excuse. I think it's a stone bruise (again).

Used to go to Lossiemouth every year for the family holiday back in 60s/70s. Wonderful time.

Henderson must be pulling his hair out ffs the last thing he wants is C.H facing Lossiemouth on his first Day back on The Track.

The supporters of Lossiemouth will think 11/10 is a good price against a horse plagued with no-shows for nearly a year. This showdown is reminiscent of Buveur D'Air vs Samcro.

Nico de Boinville is remaining tight-lipped on Christmas plans for Nicky Henderson stars Sir Gino and Constitution Hill

Strange as imp told us it would not happen ???

I hope Constitution Hill turns up which will mean Sir Gino will duel with Ballyburn the next day. And, if Constitution Hill is as good as what Hendo has led us to believe the last few days, and back to very near his previous best I think he'll beat the mare from Ireland. He did beat State Man at his peak by over 9 lengths.

Ballyburn will more than likely head to Limerick on the 28th, been well backed for the race.
Sir Gino, should CH run in the Christmas Hurdle, will more than likely go for the Wayward Lad at Kempton on Friday.

Hendo would be delightd to get within 4 Lengths of. Lossiemouth thinking he could turn things around in The Champion Hurdle.

Wait! Mr Mullins's horses need to cross the Irish Sea. I heard the waves this time of the year could be problematic. Another fairly common occurrence this time of the year is a stone bruise; winter, salt, kick-back, etc, not good for horse's legs, hoofs, etc.

Mr Mullins withdrew Vroom Vroom Mag 30 mins before a race at Sandown after conceding the Trainer's title to Pumpkin. He'd a bit of a stomp post his failure to win the Trainer's title.

I think the mare at 5/4 is a stonking price even if Constitution Hill turns up. The latter cannot be at his best after a year off; no show the mare will be 1/2 at best.

I can see your reasoning acey as she was so impressive lto beating trees at 20F giving her the beating of a horse that hasn't passed even a tree on the track for so long lol.

A 90 % fit CH could carry those trees and beat her regardless of the 7lb concession, over 2 miles!! The only doubts are CH turning up and the level of fitness imvo. Sir Gino ditto regarding 2m v Ballyburn if he jumps in public like he is reported to have schooled, Ballyburn surely going to step up to 3 m at some point?

Impossible covered all bases I see, wouldn't back CH v the mare but would Sir Gino and states Ballyburn will not run but he will meet Sir Gino if CH runs, then thinks CH will beat the mare if near fit.

Confused?

'Wake up guys, he's never been injured' - Constitution Hill owner hits out at doubting ITV pundits
By:

When: 22 Dec 24 19:25
Michael Buckley has hit out at the "absolutely ridiculous" way Constitution Hill has been written off in some quarters, but warned his superstar hurdler would not be at his best when returning from a year off on Thursday.

He has been frustrated by the speculation over his horse's future, during a 12-month period when trainer Nicky Henderson was forced to rule him out of his Champion Hurdle defence in the spring and again from his intended autumn return in the Fighting Fifth Hurdle.
