Thank goodness it is the only race track in the country with one of these courses. Just what is the point of them?

Might as well give the lead rider a Horn to blow and ask him to call out "Tally Ho, Tally Ho" all the way round.

Or, line them up three out and watch them sprint home to save a lot of time and trouble.

These races are actually more true to the original Steeplechases than conventional chases barstool.

That may be so Cag and a fair point. However, I just don't think they add much to Cheltenham and would not be missed.

Not for everybody tbf, up at Chilivani they have a  "Steeplechase" on a course that would fit into the centre of Fakenham and consists of stone walls, poles and rails etc, nothing cushioning any of the obstacles. They run in a figure of 8 and then in the opposite direction lord knows how many times, even the jockeys seem to lose track.

They seem popular across Europe more than in the UK tbf, are you up for the team compy in the New Year if UD has one?
