If you don't follow the US racing - as I don't - the DRF race previews on You Tube are a useful guide. It's a shame Sky don't broadcast the workouts show that they used to put out on AtTheRaces after the afternoon racing.
It looks as if there are only going to be two very short one's, Lake Victoria and Thorpedo Anna. Both should be winning. That said you don't really want to cop a big loser so I have gone each-way Thought Process. She is unlikely to have the ability to beat Lake Victoria, but she should have a better track position. Hard to see anything beating Thorpedo Anna who looks to have several pounds in hand. If you able to get a realistic bet on Sportsbook (I couldn't) I think the 5/1 Domestic Product in the Dirt Mile is the best price currently available. |

Been reading the Mike Welsch X tweets on COT, worth a read.

Differ.. Go to Breeders' Cup .com and watch the (live) Breakfast show. It starts at 2 pm. I've
found it far more interesting than any other programmes. Also you can download a free copy of the official programmes for both days. |
By:
|
By:
< it's better to download the programme rather than the other option of viewing it as the download
comes up full page. In addition to the programme with silks etc, the following page for each race has the form. |
By:
Thanks, that sounds like the feed they used to show.
Only interested in one race today so will have a look this afternoon. Have managed to find a small interest in all races (all each-way as I am no expert and things haven't been going well over here lately) except mile where I am waiting to see how Porta Fortuna goes in the market. |
By:
It seems they have sent Chapman over there just to interview any brit he can find. What a waste of time. We know about those horses, or at least form an opinion. It's the US and Japanese runners he needs to find out about. So far zilch.

Unbearable viewing tbf…..just watch the betting suspend then view….

Uk pundits and reporters should be banned from the breeders cup imo..

Final picks:-
JUVENILE SPRINT - ECORO SIEG - has been well supported in last 24 hours, got to cope with the drop back from 6 to 5, and wide draw. JUVENILE FILLIES DIRT - AMERICAN BIKINI - Moore always seems happiest in Japan, hopefully that flows into this horse, hard to see beyond the front three. JUVENILE FILLIES TURF - THOUGHT PROCESS - garnered each-way support, but shouldn't really beat the favourite unless it has a bad trip. JUVENILE DIRT - CHANCER MCPATRICK & JONATHANS WAY - couldn't split the two, and again winner likely to come from the front three in the market. JUVENILE TURF - MENTEE - 1/1 on turf impressive in Grade 3, but wide draw, brother to Fierceness, bit of a dart, but not sure this is the strongest european bunch. FILLY & MARE SPRINT - ONE MAGIC FILLY - lightly raced improver with course form, Society probably the one to beat, but didn't look the strongest race. TURF SPRINT - STARLUST - will probably need a pace collapse, but I just thought the price was too big. No real surprise if he ends up fifth or sixth. DISTAFF - THORPEDO ANNA - will need to run way below to get beat. TURF - ROUSHAM PARK - bit of a dart hoping he can return to last year's form, not the strongest renewal, surprised Emily Upjohn didn't go to Ascot as her best two runs this year have been on soft ground. CLASSIC - SIERRA LEONE - in the hope that after string of defeats as favourite he might be able to sustain his run this time. Weak in the market over the last 24 hours. FILLY & MARE TURF - HANG THE MOON - Of the outsiders this is the one I would be most optimistic about, improving, handles the track, and the step up in trip should be a plus, jock looked decent in landing last two wins. SPRINT - STRAIGHT NO CHASER - A likely burn up, and hopefully, this is the one that lasts longest, lightly raced and sweating didn't stop him last time. TURF MILE - PORTA FORTUNA - Seems very straightforward, and not had an overly tough season - still hoping to get bigger than 4/1. DIRT MILE - DOMESTIC PRODUCT - Improved dropped in trip, and nicely supported, probably my best of the meet. Hopefully, one or two might hit the board. Last year wasn't great with too many shorties winning. |
By:
Added MAGNUM FORCE in the opener, but probably going to leave Porta Fortuna. Hardly any 3's, she's just too short now.
|
By:
You've put in plenty of work, lots of outside the box picks. GL Drum. I'm on Porta Fortuna (bits on at 7/2) we should be able to get some more on at about the same price pre race. I'll be playing race by race for the rest of the meeting

Thanks, I need to put the effort in because I don't follow enough of it during the year. Of course if all the favourites go in, it's not much good going for the longshots. They are only small bets, just adds a little bit of interest. It seems strange to me that the Classic is no longer the last race.
Shame people on here are reluctant to put up pre-race tips. Nobody should be shooting anybody down for having a go. Better that than coming on after the race with a winner. |
By:
When I was first on here you would see a thread for almost every race where people would put up their selection but it got ruined by others complaining that people were not giving enough reasoning and just posting their fancies.

If u want to lose money - bet on the Breeders Cup.
|
By:
Mac, It's competitive Racing with eveything trying. So it's not easy to win on the BC but it ain't impossible either. Like Drum said, post some picks with just a line of reasoning. Nobody who understands the game and betting will shoot you down if you get it wrong.
It is a strange decision to move the classic to earlier on the card. I've always thought that the Gold Cup should be the last race of the Cheltenham Festival. Build it up though the day and end the festival on a high with a top class race. |

Think its Japan week in LA with the Dodgers winning the WS with Shohei Ohtani starring, really think they'll carry the momentum over to the weekend.
Like you think they'll win the first with Ecoro Seig the sectionals in his last race are stunning @ 9/2 yesterday lunchtime with PP shop got on, will play Big Mojo and Magnum Force in the exactas. Interesting booking with RM on America Bikini in the next and backed, bred to be a BC winner American Pharaoh out of a Bernadini mare, Immersive is dangerous Brad Cox all but 25% @ BC's small interest in exacta. Lake Victoria already trading odds on, no interest race for me. Juvenile next East Avenue, looking magnificent on the track in the mornings sectionals good as well, Godolphin homebred, interesting stat I read all Godolphin 18 BC winners homebreds, bit of the Frankel about this lad trainer said yesterday they were told he was special before he arrived in his barn, backed at 9/4 yesterday great race to place exotics so will also play with Shein Believe, Gaming and Chancery McPatrick In the Juvenile Turf 12:25 Henri Matisse comes into it forgiving his last couple runs back on better ground, last weekend Hotazhell franked the form could go close. Good luck |
By:
The ground on the turf is firm (apparently). As such, would it not be good for Notable Speech? Ramatuelle is an absentee.
|
By:
Is liquidity worse than usual for Breeders' Cup? It feels like it, but maybe I'm misremembering and the volume arrives closer to the races.
|
By:
Let’s go thru the card
8.25 Sabretooth 9.45 Big Mojo 10.25 American Bikini 11.05 Lake Victoria 11.45 Gaming 12.25 Al Qudra Happy days |

Is the racing tomorrow night live on Sky?
|
By:
no really strong fancys but big money on offer and all will be trying and the british bookies and our racing media will prob have a bit of a bias for the euro runners and the yanks could offer a bit of value , and in the juvenile sprint race 6 ive gone for a few at big odds ...gate to wire 50/1 ew 4 places bog.. 2 runs a debut win and btn 3l when 2nd in a grade 3 over 6f drops back to 5f top jockey up . also gone for pali kitten 50/1 ew 4 places bog 3 from 5 a winner last time . we dont know if the europeans are better than the yankee juveniles yet .
|
By:
Still working on the BC races. But back to our racing. I think connections have found a nice spot for Siam Fox in the next at Newcastle.
|
By:
Very weak on here before the off.....for another day I guess.
|
By:
Yes CLYDEBANK..
We're just hours away from the 41st running of the two-day Breeders' Cup World Championships at Del Mar, with all 14 Grade 1 races live on Sky Sports Racing! |
By:
8.25 (To warm up for the main races on the card) Have to go with 2 against the field here. Artilas - Wins at the trip and track and disqualified from 1st place LTO so arguably he should be unbeaten going into this. Chasing Liberty - Given plenty to do LTO but maybe that trip is on the short side for him now anyway. This Mile trip could unlock a little more improvement (finished strongly over 6 1/2F 2 runs back)

I remember ITV making a fuss about showing any Breeders Cup because of their schedules, but had a look at ITV3/4 tomorrow night, and other than football league highlights it's just old repeats. Had they really wanted to surely they could have shown more races?
