looks a good renewal and the market seems to be sorting itself out and flip floping favs, delacroix and wimbledon hawkeye ,aobs always need respect having won it 11 times and every chance as does wimbledon hboth have very good form in the book and both progressing but we have a very open looking race with a few unbeaten could be anythings unexposed and stepping up in class who should have more to offer . detain and nebras unbeaten and we dont know which one is better, both very promising . the coles seaplane a wide margin winner last time at hq and money has come for it this morning . i backed royal playwright last night at 14/1 which looked big imo ground to make up with wim hawkeye but that one had a bit more exp and the gap in prices looked too wide price has gone now . also had a win bet on anno domoni who is unbeaten 2 from 2 and tho a good bit to find on ratings is from a yard choc full of juvenile talent and has drifted to an each way price at 12/1 in places which looks looks fair imo . hotashell a group 2 winner last time has decent form in ireland and plenty of exp which counts for a bit in these type of races .good luck opinions encouraged.
I was going to select Seaplane on my thread when he was 12-1, but as you say, he's shortened up a bit this morning. It's not a secret as it's been highlighted elsewhere, but his time at Newmarket was the standout on a card that included a Group 2 and a Listed race for older horses.
The second has been beat since at odds-on but he ran into a Beckett-trained debutante at Nottingham who looks very useful, the pair well clear.
The step up in trip to a mile should suit Seaplane, being a half-brother to useful types over further including Park Hill winner Sumo Sam, but a bit disconcerting to see a tongue strap applied as he didn't appear to have a breathing problem at Newmarket. The other potential positive for him is that being ridden handy on the straight course here yesterday was generally no bad thing, save Irish Nectar's win.
Detain looked a potential world beater at Kempton, but has to prove he can do it on grass.
However, none of them can be ruled out and some are still in the 'could be anything' category.
