THE WIN £1M WITH BETMGM'S GOLDEN GOALS NOVICE STAKES (CLASS 5) (for horses which have run no more than three times) ( (GBB RACE)
Permission was given for WEST ACRE (IRE) to wear a red hood to post and be mounted on the chute and for GOLDIKODI (IRE) to wear a red hood to post. The stewards acknowledge that they subsequently failed to notice that said GOLDIKODI was walked to the post resulting in arrival 8 minutes after off time. It was also acknowledged that GOLDIKODI had clearly never seen starting stalls before, contributing to a further delay to the start. The stewards accepted the trainers explanation that it was the fillies first run. The Stewards much regretted that the 13 minute delay versus off-time caused a timing clash with three subsequent races on other courses, but unanimously agreed to do fck all about it.
