^ Looks like Eric Cantona is tipping Trawlerman
|
By:
win or EW?
|
By:
Eric is win only man, coming second or third is for losers.
Of the bigger price ones, Belloccio would be my EW pick, 2-2 for Mullins with improvement to come? Though not sure how soft he'd want it and more rain is forcast. |
By:
never been out 1st 2 last 15 in gr1's since ran over 1m6f+ ..gr2 morra.. cant be out the 3 man shirley.. hawair
|
By:
Indeed, layers pinning their hopes on a third quickish run finding him out
And as someone once said on here... Rico-Dangleflaps 18 Oct 24 13:59 tha knott masheens yfdsc |

Three countries in 34 days and racing over an aggregate of six miles at Group 1 / 2 level, and if they get the overnight rain, on what could be testing ground for the third leg.
|
By:
ok..im laying.

Three countries in 34 days walked to each? |
By:
yep but had a rest once on the ferry
|
By:
Trawlerman rested since June.
this has to be a target 1.84 first 3? looks tempting |
By:
I wondered about that leif, and while he can clearly go well fresh, he'd had 2 prep runs prior to winning last year, so is the break by design or has there been an issue?
|
By:
Trawlerman looks an amazing each way bet to me.
|
By:
I think he's a different horse from last season. This season post injury his work has been consistent and uninterrupted unlike last season. As such, I think he'll avenge his defeat here last season.
|
By:
i have to say trawlerman 1st 4 1/2 looks very fair..
|
By:
ground has to be a caveat for trawlerman though..
|
By:
won 14 out of 18 including coming off his death bed, 6 out of 6 this year and NO BET MELISH doesn't think he,s mile ahead of his rivals, you,d have gone skint along time ago if you were betting against him
|
By:
I think Kyprios is at his best on good ground or quicker although like many such horses he does handle sloppy soft. Wouldn't take short price about him win or place.
|
By:
If ever you wanted to know ratings measure performances rather than ability Kyprios only 2lb above Trawlerman.
|
By:
1st time poster, the official handicapper agrees with Mellish, Trawlerman is only rated 2lb lower, Sweet William 5lb, Al Nayyir and The Eurphrates both 6lb.
|
By:
1 wouldn't but he,s 14 up on anyone who thinks he,s there to be beaten
|
By:
George, Mellish didn't say he thought Kyprios was a 2lb better horse did he ? Yes he did agree with the ratings. Two different things.
|
By:
I wasn't watching, Howard.
I was replying to this: NO BET MELISH doesn't think he,s mile ahead of his rivals |
By:
he said he doesn't believe he,s got/ever had much in hand of his rivals and the ratings agree with/show that
|
By:
kyp 1.1 1st 4? cant be out the four man..
|
By:
problem with that is if he,s in 3rd /4th he hasn't run his race so knowing Ryan and connections he wont be trying to hard to finish 3,4,5th,6th
|
By:
1.12*
|
By:
It's like Arkle and Flyingbolt 212 and 210 Timeform. Probably accurate on performance/s weights carried. Nowt else imo.
|
By:
Al Nayir 11/2 on those boards.
7.2 on 'ere they can't lose |
By:
like LITTLE said this week, BARRY DENNIS would always lay a bet
BE RUDE NOT TO |
By:
come racing leif pay to get in pay over the odds to eat and drink and then get shafted by the bookies !
|
By:
well done rico
|
By:

By:

|
By:
surely only johnny G thinks Stradivarius was better
|
By:
all the other horses connections in the bar having a drink with melish for the 15th time saying he hasn't got much in hand of us lot
|
By:
Well done Rico, racing6699 and 1st time poster.
He's not the Iron Horse cuz that was Giants Causeway, they'll have to call him something else...nor the Incomparable cuz that was Cigar...how about the Kryptonite Kyprios? |
