The alternative version of Everyday like Sunday Morrisey performed on the Jonathan Ross show was very good. Unusually, considering I didn't like much music from the era, I liked quite a few Smith's tracks.

I have found it interesting the theory/rumour that started on YOU TUBE about the song Panic, and supposed lyrics pertaining to Saville and his antics and a child singing on the track. As blatant as the lyrics,
are, to the best of my knowledge they deny it.

Panic on the streets of London
Panic on the streets of Birmingham
I wonder to myself
"Could life ever be sane again?"
The Leeds side streets that you slip down
I wonder to myself
Hopes may rise on the Grasmere
But honey pie, you're not safe here
So you run down to the safety of the town
But there's panic on the streets of Carlisle
Dublin, Dundee, Humberside
I wonder to myself
Burn down the disco
Hang the blessed DJ
Because the music that they constantly play
It says nothing to me about my life
Hang the blessed DJ
Because the music they constantly play
On the Leeds side streets that you slip down
Provincial towns you jog 'round
Hang the DJ, hang the DJ, hang the DJ
Hang the DJ, hang the DJ, hang the DJ
Hang the DJ, hang the DJ, hang the DJ
Hang the DJ, hang the DJ
Hang the DJ, hang the DJ
Hang the DJ, hang the DJ, hang the DJ
Hang the DJ, hang the DJ
Hang the DJ, hang the DJ
Hang the DJ, hang the DJ, hang the DJ
Hang the DJ, hang the DJ
Hang the DJ, hang the DJ
Hang the DJ, hang the DJ, hang the DJ
Hang the DJ, hang the DJ

The Smiths are in the history books for the highest electric bill of any pop music group because of their light that never goes out.

had this on a bootleg acquired from Camden market.

Saw them a few times live, always thought too much base and drum and Marrs guitar playing got
drowned out.

Happy Hibby, I am not convinced on it either, the thing that made wonder after hearing the theory,

The Leeds side streets that you slip down
Hang the blessed DJ (blessed by The Pope)
Provincial towns you jog 'round
Child singing

All very tenuous links though.

Queen, Bowie, Stones, Elvis, Dylan, Madonna all went through fallow, low-quality songs/periods
Even The Beatles and Michael Jackson to some degree.

Believe, The Smiths are right up there, simply because 90%+ of their catalogue is pure quality.

The handshake seals the contract
From the contract there's no turning back
The turning point of a career
In Korea being insincere
The holiday was fun packed
The contract still intact
The grabbing hands grab all they can
All for themselves after all
The grabbing hands grab all they can
All for themselves after all
It's a competitive world
Everything counts in large amounts
The graph on the wall
Tells the story of it all
Picture it now, see just how
The lies and deceit gained a little more power
Confidence taken in
By a sun tan and a grin
The grabbing hands grab all they can
All for themselves after all
The grabbing hands grab all they can
All for themselves after all
It's a competitive world
Everything counts in large amounts
Everything counts in large amounts
The grabbing hands grab all they can
Everything counts in large amounts
The grabbing hands grab all they can
Everything counts in large amounts
(Everything, everything)
(Everything, everything)
The grabbing hands grab all they can
Everything counts in large amounts
The grabbing hands grab all they can
Everything counts in large amounts

what difference does it make?
By:
HappyHibby
When: 19 Oct 24 11:05
2% or 40%...

i'd say it makes a bl00dy big difference tbh mr.Hunt...

all done to improve in running of course...

now to do with simply swelling Betfair's coffers in a short term Brucie Bonus way...

which was always going to result with in running dying a long slow death...

oh well.

it should have been a 5% commission charge on EVERY winning bet...

nobody would have complained about that imv...

they knew best tho...

and it has resulted in some races having a total amount matched at 75k...

well done Betfair.

Sweetness
Sweetness, I was only joking when I said
I'd like to smash every tooth in your head
Oh sweetness
Sweetness, I was only joking when I said
By rights you should be bludgeoned in your bed
And now I know how Joan of Arc felt
Now I know how Joan of Arc felt
As the flames rose to her Roman nose
And her Walkman started to melt

You don't hear love songs like that nowdays.

i think another Betfair 'excuse' for PC was to level things up coz it was unfair folk having an advantage over others...

laughable i know...

i've never had ANY advantages over anyone.
