What a joke this loading process has become.

I can still remember a prolific sprinter called Grey Desire (a shortie) ran loose before a 6f prestige race (could be the Haydock Sprint) some years ago. He still ran but finished 2nd. I was one of the mugs who backed him before his extra-exertion before the race.

The only stalls the Gosdens know are the ones at the london  Palladium!

Got to love the BF Reduction factor. My 3.85 lay in the EW market was reduced to 1.08.

The poor stall handlers hands are tied by the new woke generation....Get the Long Tom round there arse and they will be in like a shot ffs.

Outriders are the sensible and rather obvious answer .  Quite why they don't have them when they are seen to good effect in other jurisdictions.

We use them at the pt 2 pt and they are worth their weight in gold for catching the loose ones , especially as they are herd animals and if you have a loose one it will tend not to run away from another horse if one comes up with a rider on it making it easy to catch.
Far easier than a person trying to catch it on foot and the horse jinking around them and galloping offon a jolly for 20mins.

Only ever going to be 1 winner when a horse gallops off at 30mph.
