Reg.
Don’t worry about the aftertiming, the management, poster shamelessly waited 20 years to post he d won 981k,then threw in for good measure,I’m off on holiday for 4 weeks,so no one can sink that low. Trouble is now, you’ve got to manage the wife’s expectations. She’ll be joining the posts members club,no housework,as she’ll be deep into the form book.think this small win could be the vain of your life. |

By:
Cheers Best Mate, she's gotta pay about 2 grand for some dentistry work soon so she's over the moon
She's promised me a free night in Spoons tomorrow! |
|
By:
CUTH... she still says it's a mugs game so should be OK
|
|
By:
The bookie always wins.
You never see a poor bookie. 2024 new one,we bookies can’t make racing pay with all the legislation |

Reg.
Given your wife’s having yankees and roll ups ,on a Tuesday, Think you might of lost her to the industry already. Even I don’t know what a roll up is. Does she fancy anything tomorrow. |

Good stuff Reg

CUTH, a roll up is an acca, in this case a 4 horse acca
It's a popular bet, you do a Yankee, lucky15 or whatever, and just add an accumulator in case all horses win As I said, she asks me about every 2 months to put a bet on for her, don't think she's gonna be addicted |
|
By:
Cheers jinxy and Hayden
|
|
By:
Let me know when she does another yankee Reg. I won't tell anyone else honest. I don't trust myself to bet one horse without laying off in running never mind do combinations.
|
|
By:
I suspect,she’s restricted,looking for 20 quid Yankee,50 roll up.
Had to get reg put it on. |
|
By:
Cheers sage, I suggested going out for lunch tomorrow in Wedmore but she says she's not made of money, so Spoons in BOS it is
Apologies to people who don't live in Somerset, sage will know what I mean |
|

I've heard that Tom Segal's been trying to contact her

Very well done Mrs Reggie! If you'd not mind could you please share your selections with us morons here? A winner has been hard to come since Leger Day.
|
|
By:
Sadly spoons have been so successful that a lot of village pubs around here don't open at lunch time
. |
|
By:
Cheers mighty and impossible
Sage, that is sadly true, but I was drinking Butcombe and Abbot at 1.99 a pint last night in Spoons... You can't knock it |
|
By:

|
By:
Rico, why always so negative?
Had about 300 guaranteed after the 3rd won, was her bet not mine, just let it ride Worked out well in the end |
|
By:
Nice bet Mrs Reg, wd.
Good job rico wasn't helping with any hedging. 2k either way with a 6-1 shot to finish?! God 'elp us. |
|
By:
Cheers swifty
Bigger figures and shortest price last one to lay I could understand Rico logic |
|

Cheers Foyles
Just seen Kim Bailey and the Twistons both got 2 runners today at Ludlow All working man's prices, gonna do a Yankee |
|
By:
You could splash out on a meal at The Bird in Westhay if they win Reg
. I might even join you if you are paying. I did note that Kim Bailey had not had runners until Monday so the winter ones are obviously ready to roll. A trainer I have always liked. |

I took a double take on sun morning saw a very rare sight, someone waiting outside a bookies for it to open, its been that long since I've been in a bookies I think they didn't open till 10 0 clock on a sun day,and the fella waiting to get in was a well known face in bookies in the area who I used to see/chat to in bookies over 40 yrs ago
|
|
By:
well known face in bookies, and not been restricted in over 40 years then - he must have been doing well over that time
![]() Is a nice reminiscence to remember waiting outside a bookies I agree - long time since I did that, for sure, but nice memories. |
|
By:
If you see him again, tell the bloke to get himself on here instead of taking rubbish bookie prices
