Why do some people move their hands when they are talking?

i think it is because they don,t believe what they are saying themselves

i think that there is a big lie in the middle of their story and they are trying to hide the lie.

I am moving my hands whilst typing that I don't think you are an idiot!! Ah you may be right!!

Some have to because they are operating glove puppets.

If you focus on someone talking you will notice body movements,some people go red in the face when they lie,others fidget with their hands or feet when telling porkies.

People who lie when drinking in a pub will take a big swallow of beer after the lie.

other people will give a small cough  after a lie.

They might be using sign language for a deaf person.

Harry Windsor does it continuously. In my book it's the hallmark of a serial narcissist which fits the bill. Also fluttering ones eyelids(a la Jim McGrath) when talking is as bad.

Lee Mottershead is very irritating to watch, his hands were going everywhere on Luck on Sunday. I had to turn off

TV people - news reporters especially - are trained to do it.

This is because those who run TV believe we all have the attention span of a gnat and will become bored unless a reporter is waving their hands around all the time.

Personally, I hate it.
