I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread for this. I'll be going race by race but feel free to stick anything up you're sweet or anything you're looking to take on. Providing a line or 2 of reasoning with your selection is something I always appreciate

The going is currently GOOD and with a bright sunny day in store, it might end up on the faster side of good at some point today.

1.50 6 1/2F Nursery Handicap (Class 2)

Looking back through my betting record over the last 5 seasons, this type of race is by far my least profitable and I can count on one hand how many bets I've had in this type of race thus far this season. But I'm attacking the Placepot so I'll have to find at least one horse to sneak into the places!
Any thoughts on this one lads?

1.50 Art Design, already placed in a Class 2 Nursery at Newmarket and won nicely lto, albeit a different surface. Good luck WP.

Also done a couple of placepots
Put 6 in the first in one perm!
Banked Dear Cat in the other
Stepping back a furlong from lto win which looks the right move
Doubt is the going

2.25 6 1/2F £300,000 2-Y-O Stakes (GBB Race) (Class 2) (2yo)

Intrusively went firmly into my notebook after his run at Goodwood. I couldn't really back him on his next start at long odds on but this looks a race he can be competitive in. He does look a little quirky but there's no doubt he has the ability to go close here if Rossa can keep his mind on the job! I also like the Richard Hannon trained An Outlaw's Grace at a price and the first time cheeks pieces looks a good move seeing as this one looks like it has more to give than its showed thus far.

Intrusively hit 4.3 IR but didn't look like it could win at any stage of the race. Confused Out of the placey and -1pt for the day! Back to the drawing board.

Looked a danger LTO over 2M where here stamina may have let
her down, travelled well into the race.Back down to todays
trip & against her own sex she should go very close in this.
Around 4/1 on here atm.

With a form line via Merrily for Anshoda's LTO win, the  AOB camp should know what's required to beat that one. And with no real reason why Flight should turn the form around with Desert Flower. I would be shocked if the winner doesn't come from one of the front 3 in the betting. I thought Desert Flower was very impressive LTO.  So I'll be with her and go for a RFC with the weaker one of the 2 AOB horses. Her form isn't as strong as January's but there was a lot to like about Ecstatic's win LTO and this step up to a mile can help her improve again.

She looks very solid Penzance & I will be playing her along with Scenic who now looks the finished article. An improving with racing and age Lope De Vega is a big tick on the sheet for me.

He looked pretty smart in his first 2 races so if the blinkers do the trick, he could certainly outrun his odds.
