I remember reading that M Stoute said that G. Starkey had told him a few times that Adjal was a sprinter.

There were two pacemakers for Bustino in the King George , can't quite remember their names though albeit 200/1 chances i think so in the race for a purpose , you can easily class that as part of a team tactic.

The 2 Hern  pacemakers where Highest & Kinglet.

if we,d had multiple entries from AOB,gosden, mullins etc say 30 yrs ago would there have been a bigger clamour for coupling horses like in france

Thanks geoff , tip of my tongue but couldn't remember    Happy

No 1sttp because anyone with a brain will apportion stakes if that's what they want to do , besides backing 2nd strings is one of my selective strategies or possibly even 3rd or 4th strings if it's a JP horse in Ireland   Happy

Good trainer but I’m not sure he was a punters trainer, not a stable I would lump on a regular basis, one of my best punting days was at York japan at 6/1 beating stoutes odds on certainty when he came up against a p obrien, a lot of stoutes were over bet so not my favourite and didn’t communicate well, I seem to remember he was caught with a large sum of cash at the airport

Great trainer but always came across as a bad loser.

CHAMPION trainer Sir Michael Stoute is at the centre of a Customs investigation after he was stopped attempting to board a flight to Barbados carrying $60,000 (about pounds 40,000), writes Graham Green.

Had to chuckle when Adele said 'nobody ever said a bad word about him'. It's always the same when someone dies or retires. Why does honesty go out the window. She probably thinks nobody has ever said a bad word about her husband.

To interview Stoute was at best a pain in the arse, at worst he was just plain rude. Stoute and Moore standout performers in that regard. At one stage Stoute wanted to be a tv presenter so clearly nothing to do with him being shy.

True he was never easy to watch when being interviewed.

Some are good trainers and some are good interviewees.  Choose whichever you prefer.
