Either that was a bold move or he didn't read the situation very well.

Interesting to see what the stewards decide, but harsh on Paddy Bradley if he gets a ban for that, imo.

An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching 3 furlongs out involving BIG BARD, placed fifth, ridden by Paddy Bradley and ON SONG (IRE), placed second, ridden by Billy Loughnane. Bradley was suspended for 6 days for careless riding as he had moved right-handed towards the rail when insufficiently clear of ON SONG (IRE), which caused Loughnane to be tight for room against the rail and to take a significant check.

They'd been coming stands-side all afternoon, presumably Loughnane knew that was where Bradley on the leader was heading, but he chanced his luck by trying to dart to the rail before Bradley got there. It didn't come off. Bradley though is the one cops a 6-day ban.

Head on would be interesting  have you seen it?

Yes and the scout angle.

Do you disagree with the stewards' decision?

Hmmm, you tried to catch me out once but failed, now you're having another go.

I gave my opinion in the opening post, if you think I'm going round in circles with you Mr Contrarian, you can GFY.

Dont get the Billy bashing that goes on....The lad was done out of a winner by careless riding of Bradley.
Report blackbarn September 9, 2024 7:26 PM BST
Are you neurotic?.  You posted a perfectly reasonable opinion. I posted the Stewards report when it became available. I saw the race but do not have the benefit of a head on, hence my question(s). I shall not bother you again.

It is irrelevant who the jockey is, it is my opinion on the scenario that unfolded.
Report GEORGE.B September 9, 2024 7:28 PM BST
Are you able to read?

I said in my opening post a ban for Bradley would be harsh, imo.

They've given him 6 days.

You then ask: "Do you disagree with the stewards' decision?"

Paddy Bradley gives his view of what happened here, and the scout camera angle is also shown in this snippet

They all make a bee-line for the rail , he got there first.

'I'm a bit late getting there but i'm coming through give me room shouts Billy, f off says Paddy', hope he gets off on appeal.
Report GEORGE.B September 10, 2024 10:43 PM BST
the scout angle there gives a good view of it, Bradley was heading to the stands-rail, as they had done all afternoon, when Loughnane decides he's going to make a dash from behind Bradley to get there first.

Fine, that rail is often worth a length or two on soft ground, but when it doesn't come off, why should Bradley, who doesn't have eyes in the back of his head, cop a six day ban for an incident that has been initiated by the riding of Loughnane, to whom it should have been obvious as to where Bradley was heading?
Report swiftynifty September 10, 2024 10:54 PM BST
Agree, it's a completely different scenario to when they are running in the straight and a jockey moves across his rival when not sufficiently clear.

If Loughnane had clipped heels and gone down he'd only have had himself to blame.

I don't know if Bradley will be appealing or not, but it sounds like he might have enough on his plate as it is.

I don't know if there is a more recent update to this, it had been adjourned until the end of last month

he slightly incriminated himself by saying he didn't look up his inside.

as for the Epsom case, the CCTV will either clear him or otherwise I'd have thought.
