any body remember city tote bookmakers duke street london in the 1950s. joe morris and the hammond bros were the governers.i worked there on leaving school at 15. i knew a perks same age give or take a year. who i have been told became bill wyman of the rolling stones .

Bill Perks (as was) started work there on the first Monday after Easter, 1953, as a junior clerk, on £3 10s a week. His dad took him out of school 2 months before he was due to sit his GCEs, with the idea that his son would go on to start his own betting company. He'd have been 16 then.
