How lucky we are to have two of the finest jockeys riding today, Hollie and Rachael, and that both are members of the fairer sex! Hollie has been a revelation at York and I've just witnessed Rachael giving a masterful display to win an over 3m Hdl at Kilbeggan.Two immensely talented female riders that grace the sport!
I willingly admit to be being a bit of a dinosaur re female participation in the past and confess to still having some reservations.
Witness the fiasco of the Windsor Stewards Enquiry's findings on Monday that just "noted" James Doyle's lame excuse for stopping riding and the explanation becomes crystal clear - all five Stewards and assistants were all Dorises,who were taken in by James's silver tongue! This must never be allowed to happen again!
