Shoemark did nothing wrong on Emily Upjohn (EU); the horse looked the winner; the eventual winner looked cooked or buried. But, EU is clearly having different ideas about the game; she did not go through with her run unlike last season.

I believe Coolmore used Port Fairy to lure Emily Upjohn to the front then leave her stranded there a long way from safety.

Cantering over them at 10 furlongs,legless at 12,can't fault the jockey.

tbf - they said PF would go forward. Might have done EU a favour; she certainly looked motivated today, but she is clearly nothing like as good as she was.

the winner was the one 'stranded' just shows how peoples' interpretation of rides hinges on the outcome in most cases.
