is it too much to ask to push for another stride matey ?
By:
punditry team praying he's won...
By:
I don't think he's lost personally.
By:
But why oh why, deserves a ban for a DH
By:
I backed it but looks a dead heat
By:
Iish Rachel making excuses for him already imv.
By:
A d.h. but should have won a head or so.
By:
dead heat...
Calum what a brainless thing to do. |
By:
A winner and a ban.
By:
Planas got a ban for a D/Ht,18 days.
By:
at least American Rachel didn't duck it like the other one did...
for those who didn't hear her she said something along the lines of 'just say it hung this way and that way like James Doyle did'... and she's right... Windsor stewards have left the door wide open for more excuses for jockeys to be believed (by the stewards) from now on. |
By:
RTV calls it a day so that they don't have to discuss it...
By:
Shepherd will claim the horse was scared of the red lollipop so started to ease himself off, nowt he could do about it , they're not machines they tell us.
By:
I hadn't noticed that last stride until after and a bit sick watching it back although it could have been worse than losing altogether.
By:
would not surprise me in the slightest swifty...
Windsor stewards accepting Doyle's nonsense leaves the door wide open to any nonsense from jockeys... as was said at the time the BHA allowing the Windsor stewards decision to stand will throw up issues going forward. |
By:
Waley Cohen started the 'making it up on the hoof' excuses many years back with the 'swallowed his tongue', if the stewards had any balls they'd say don't make fools of us and triple the ban.

i agree swifty...
By:
Hibby, trouble is they don't, unless you are an apprentice of course.
By:
you should get extra bans for talking mince swifty...
no doubt about it. |
By:
just watched it again...
he sits up with about 5 yards to go imv... did it make a difference ? no idea... but you would have to think one more push and he'd be the outright winner... in saying that it's irrelevant anyway... win lose or draw he deserves a ban for utter stupidity imv. |

I notice Lauren Young(7) got 10 days suspension today for failing to take all reasonable and permissible measures throughout the race to finish closer.
By:
Hibby, I've missed a few days racing, see he wasn't on any Gredley horses yesterday, has the split been confirmed?

Race 4 - 3:50pm
THE AUTISM IN RACING HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6) An enquiry was held into the running and riding of ANNANDALE (IRE), ridden by Lauren Young and trained by Jim Goldie, which was held up in rear until appearing to finish strongly to finish fourth of twelve runners beaten 3 ½ lengths. The rider and the trainer were interviewed and shown recordings of the race; The Veterinary Officer examined ANNANDALE (IRE) post-race during testing and had nothing to report. Young stated that her instructions were to drop in if the gelding was slowly away but if he jumped well then she was to sit handy throughout the race. She added that having jumped slowly away from the stalls, she rode ANNANDALE (IRE) from off the pace, until making an effort between the 3 and 2 furlong markers. Jim Goldie confirmed the instructions and added that Young had been too far back when turning into the straight and she was caught wide, having been told to make her way through runners. He further added that in his opinion, if ANNANDALE (IRE) had been closer to the field turning into the home straight, the gelding could have finished closer. Young was suspended for 10 days for failing to take all reasonable and permissible measures throughout the race. |

By:
you get the best view of it on the slow mo...
stood up in the saddle when the other lad is low and pushing... stupid stupid boy. |
By:
i never keep on top of 'latest news' these days swifty tbh...
i know Havlin rode the big one at York but no idea about any split tbh. |
By:
Callum Shepherd, the rider of THORNTONLEDALE MAX, which dead-heated for first, had failed to ride out to the winning post. After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Shepherd was suspended for 18 days for failing to take all reasonable and permissible measures on a horse which would have finished out-right first.

By:
would Paul Mulrennan have got a ban if he was in the saddle and not a young lassie sparrow ?
and would Goldie have said the same thing if Mulrennan was in the saddle ? ![]() ![]() ![]() |
By:
Well we all know the score hibby.
By:
18 days...
no idea how they calculate these things but at least they've taken action... unlike the numpties at Windsor. |
By:
we do sparrow...
and i see Newcastle evening meetings are back Thursday night... let the fun begin. |
By:
I thought I heard Sanders say yesterday that 28 days was the entry penalty.
By:
Jim's got a few badly handicapped horses at present so there'll be plenty of work for Mulrennan to do.
By:
it'll all be about fancy wordings which decide what sort of ban he gets sparrow...
and does the dead heat make a difference ? i'd certainly hope not... it bl00dy well shouldn't at least. |
By:
plenty of work for him and Amy Waugh and Mark Winn during cold winters nights at Newcastle swifty...
obviously the stewards will be watching closely... well when i say watching closely i mean they will be watching Emmerdale Farm / Eastenders and Coronation Street closely. |
By:
i see Cody Watkins was a steward at Kempton tonight...
he was at Windsor on Monday... interesting. |
By:
in fact he was CHIEF Steward tonight.
By:

By:
