The forum is equivalent to the bookies on the high street. It's a place where some eg the unemployed, wannabe bookies (recreational punters), aged or retired individuals congregate to while away their time, discuss horseracing and other topic of interests. The last is the contentious one as it includes virtually everything else eg politics, immigration, sports, etc.
I believe despite the issues concerning the forum and some of its posters it ought to remain and not shut down; just exercise a bit of tolerance, sensibility, intelligence and diversity to participate. May I also advise any poster to use the ignore facility to drown out or silence the time-wasters, the infantiles and the trollers; these three invertebrates will always infiltrate a forum solely to annoy posters for their attention-seeking.

I don't think i ever bought a guardian newspaper but i appreciate an alternative from the narrative in general from most other outlets, the last few years(pro gov sheet in the face of them going out on their own).

dunno if busty was to blame, but it sure has been a disaster, brexit in particular does me head in. if you set up a referendumb with a simple majority deciding you are always likely to get those who want it coming out while those who support the status quo being unmotivated to do the same. and i did a right few quid on it
i dont think the tories will recover and while they wont go the way of the liberals, the 'party of govt.' is hovis. prob is i dont think much of the replacement. the duopoly dont fancy tinkering with the system because it favours both, and i dont want either as they both know they only have one team to beat, and tailor their bollox accordingly

The reason this place is so sheet now is....every poster on this thread (and some others!). It really is like walking into pub that smells of the night before, seeing a load of bald men sat either side of a load of combs, flicking bogies at each other. i know that is most of your ideas of a good night out but..........

Not a bad week Mitolo but overall not great. Betting changed a bit with covid lockdowns,got too immersed, when i would previously have about 6/7 bets a week. Small betting now and get a kick out of a winner and happy enough to keep it at that.
