https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tarmacadam
Tarmacadam is a concrete road surfacing material made by combining tar and macadam (crushed stone and sand), patented by Welsh inventor Edgar Purnell Hooley in 1902. It is a more durable and dust-free enhancement of simple compacted stone macadam surfaces invented by Scottish engineer John Loudon McAdam in the early 19th century. |

Data published by the Home Office shows that, as of 31 March 2023, 5,086 asylum seekers were in receipt of support from local authorities in Scotland (including local authorities run by the SNP).
This figure includes 577 asylum seekers being housed in hotels. |
|
By:
According to the latest available data, 50,546 asylum seekers were being housed in hotels in the UK at the end of June. This is around 10% more than the 45,775 living in hotels at the end of last year.
According to a Freedom of Information request by BBC East Investigations, 380 hotels were being used to house asylum seekers across the UK at the end of June. |

I wasn’t really discussing immigration hibb,more about riots,people destroying their communities….
People coming from war torn are fine with most The undocumented / unknown with passports floating in the channel is the issue…. |
|
By:
How many undocumented are coming in full of hate for the west ?
There is the serious problem facing the Uk imv…. Go back two decades and see how many screamed out that tribal call before carnage…. |
|
By:
but you would surely agree that the riots in England are coz local communities are fed up with the whole asylum scenario during a cost of living crisis ?
and no doubt some of it is just local yobs seeing an opportunity to let off steam / chuck rocks at cops / loot a few shops etc. |
|
By:
100% hibb I’ve said it often, stop the boats stop the unrest
But don’t forget what Europe told wurzel about brexit….you won’t receive help from Europe…..check the dinghies from France… |

While there is a difference between legal and illegal immigration, both contribute to what is at the root of unrest. Poor quality and expensive housing for people who have lived and worked here for 20 years who can't find a home, a doctor, a school place etc. etc. Too many people here whether they are Arab billionaires, American bankers or illegal arrivals by boat. The only effective policy by any Government in 10 years has been the Labour tax on non doms which has already removed a few thousand apparently. Only time will tell how the VAT receipts will fall in consequence.

A person asked my why I refer to the word fodder…proven in all walks of life, taxpayer, employee, spectator and anything else you wish to mention….
|
|
By:
Couldnt agree more regarding Blair, he deliberately set about destroying the UK once and for all, mass unchecked immigration, devolution, supreme court, destroyed the NHS with his PFI initiatives, sanctioned illegal wars, Etc Etc I suspect these riots will calm down very quickly now people have seen prison sentences handed out so quickly. Quite how anyone can listen to the biased hatred of the media and Labour politicians spewing their guts out while they have supported two tier policing for decades beggars belief. Gangs of Asians running about openly carrying machetes to confront protesters being left unchallenged is a classic example of two tier policing and Labours utter hypocrisy.
