Yes, I look at the betting and hope the Brit wins. Guess he's got the best recent times, but using horse racing as an example if times meant everything, we'd all be rich. What's the play then?

1st semi............at 300m.......Time
1,quincy hall..........29.5.......43.95 comfy
2,jereem richards.................44.33 cant win.
2nd semi
1,kirani james.........29.3.......43.78 flat out
2,muzala samukonga.....29.5.......43.81 flat out
3rd semi
1,matthew hudson smith.29.0.......44.07 canter
2,michael norman..................44.26 cant beat smith
3,samuel ogazi....................44.41 cant beat smith

hudson smith was impressive in semi..went off quick, fastest at 300 and eased right down
not much on times this yr between smith, hall, james, samukonga but smith looked in good nick in semi and has a big chance of gold..1st 3 looks a sert.

Hall wears a couple of gold chains but doesn't live to regret that choice....just. 3lb a length for horses over 5 furlongs. I wonder what difference it makes carrying that overweight.

Are the short price lovers going with Lyles?

Pretty good actor if he was keeping a ton back in that semi. Can't see how anyone would know for sure except him.

I have chanced Tebogo as I think they are closer than 2/9 and 9/2. Tebogo beat him comfortably in that semi, and although Lyles beat him in London, Tebogo had the worst of the draw and was running him down at the line.

differentdrum , I did the same, he was impressive in the semi and the prices look wrong at face value.

Just in case anyone interested Bet 365 going 4/9 Tebogo in a match bet with Knighton, and 0.95/1 the Benjamin/McLaughlin double.

Message from Bet 365 this morning. Bet on Tebogo was placed at incorrect odds and will be settled at 1/12.

I think someone put that price up mistakenly thinking it was correct. People have piled in, and they have activated their get out.

What a joke. They will have taken in masses of deposits and no doubt giving people hassle if they want to withdraw.
