New Order.   Or do you have to stream it ?  And how much per month  ?  I take it you now have to take the football as part of the package.  Thanks.

SKY+ and SKYQ still need a dish, sky stream does not.

that's what I thought. I believe you can take Sky at about £26 a month. But that won't include the racing. Anyone know the minimum u pay for racing ?

I’m with Virgin nowadays but I’m pretty sure Sky Racing used to come with the basic TV package.

Sky are continually taking the piss with their prices. It’s absolutely ridiculous that I can get Sky Sports and Sky Cinema cheaper with their main rival.

looks like you pay £22 a month for sky sports on top of basic package.  therefore you would be paying £40+ a month to watch the racing. That correct ?

kenbo do you watch sky sports with a dish and what/who  do you pay ?

If you only want Sky Racing and it is still included in the basic TV package then you wouldn’t have to add Sky Sports.

With Sky I was watching with a dish. The full package was £108 a month. Obviously that includes everything plus their fibre broadband.

I’m with Virgin now on a new customer contract and I’m paying £70 a month.

Cloughie once said it only takes a second to score, if you watch on Sky stream you could miss two goals.

Sky wanted £120ish to renew last time. Piss taking feckers. Pathetically I will be able to get a much cheaper deal when I go back to them as a ‘new customer’.

when it was called ATR it was part of the basic package ( without football )  and was little over £20.   Now I take it you have to take the football to watch the racing.

since rebranded Sky sports racing assume it's now part of the sports package.

I’m not sure then. The Sports package is the only one I wouldn’t be without. Streaming matches on firesticks or trying to find a link online is pretty infuriating. For a fiver a week or so it is a must for me.

which has pretty much doubled the price swifty. Don't think many guys on here know the basic package /racing. Most take the football one way or another and so get everything.

You don't have to take the football if you just want the Sky Racing.

unless youve got all the up to date gear available and now you have,in running piunters are just a charity for those with fastest pics,so you might as well just use a dodgey stick whilst their still out there for between 60 and 80 a yr or bookies feeds

You need to look at the site and see what package suits you best. I haven't had football or films for many years now.

I've had a look at the site it costs £22 to add sky sports to basic package which will total over £40 a month.

Just go to the site and see for yourself as to what is available and for what price.

If you don't want the football then you don't have to pay for it as the Racing is in a different package.

That sounds better. Still think it's poor value  versus my £12 a month rtv

I don't kenbo until the next day on the ATR website !  Don't really need it for the live races ( although not having head on replay  pics you get on tv )  as I have two computers with one large screen on blv.

I wouldn’t bother with it then, Howard if you’ve managed this long. It’s a load of sh1te which I rarely put on.

Apart from recording any ( evening ) racing to watch later that night the main benefit would be to watch RTV in HD. Only got a sky+ box not a HD box.

I think you can still watch HD channels with Sky+. Think you just need a HD TV?

FWIW I have no interest in Sky. As sk says they are a law upon to themselves. I don't trade or do IR so BLV does me. It may be behind by 3-4 seconds but so what? Sky are not much better. I had to get rid of them several years back because they sometimes put my price up TWICE per annum.

I could afford it but dislike being ripped off to the extent that I got charged by my bank for going overdrawn because the increased their prices. That may be fair enough but without giving you warning?

I'll stick with BLV because I only need it for racing.

As for their 'packages' and new 'not need a dish' policy......no thanks.

deffo not kenbo. I have a HD tv.  You need a HD box. All bbc sd  channels and itv4 sd  recently removed from my old sky+ box.  One day they will remove rtv sd  then I will need to upgrade.

I hardly ever watch a race on Sky now with it being 7 seconds behind live and a flashing toteboard obscuring the screen.

sparrow any idea which algorithm gives the % chance of horse winning at the bottom of the screen, personally i find it a waste of screen space?

When: 28 Jul 24 15:38
Ah, OK, Howard, I wasn’t sure. HD doesn’t bother me too much. When you see the breakdown of your bill they could be charging you a tenner a month for a few HD channels.

It needs better regulating imo. The prices are too high and too varied between customers. You haggle with them and get a price you’re somewhat happy with, then come April they’re allowed to stick it up another tenner anyway.
