chappers will be along shortly to tell us the horses didnt/cant feel a thing

Shes English, not dutch, 1st time poster
|

What did she hit the horse across the legs with? Horses are lovely but still great big beasts and they don't always want to do what the rider wants them to.
|
By:
Of course it only happened the once, just her bad luck that was the one time someone with a grudge was filming it??
Unless of course it wasn't just the once. Goes on all the time in that 'sport' full of animal lovers. |
By:
Oneten, just gonna say the same
One of our bestest horsey Olympic people |
By:
That’s one way to cut through and get noticed by the general public.
I’m not sure how many of the non horsey population know who ‘Hollywood Harry’ is yet, but they are sure as hell going to know all about ‘Cruel Charlotte’! |
By:
Exactly, she's now a horse beater. Hopefully no videos surface of her with the electric prod.
|
By:
Gordon Elliot seems to have achieved redemption....
|
By:
That's the impression you are supposed to have.
|
By:
Some credit that she has pulled the plug the Olympics. Midlands Today only just ran a feature saying a medal would make her the most decorated female GB competitor in history.
Anyone got a link to the video? Strange that it's difficult to find. |
By:
Dd... It's apparently several years ago, the incident
Must have either not known about it being videoed, or thought that it wouldn't surface after this length of time Strange that it's out now, probably fell out with someone |
By:
whatever shes done pretty cruel to wait until days before the olympics before sending it to the Authorities
|
By:
Charlotte Beating Excrement strip her of her CBE
|
By:
Caught out, like so many others, by mobile phone video footage. She claims that it was an "error of judgement" but that means it was an error to be filmed abusing a horse

another 5 star luxury chamberlain, harvey, oily, fitzy etc hotel no one would book in to

Sorry i never seen your post.

I'm amazed at the sanctimonious on here .
Do you bet ? If you bet you are part of the problem because the horse you backed today in a race gets whipped for trying to win. You're happy enough with that because you backed it and want it to win at all costs. What's the difference between dujardin giving a bit of encouragement at home to the jocks giving encouragement on the racecourse ? Zilch. |
By:
Sanctimonious? I don't agree with the whip , never have , nor any animal abuse. Least lazy horse beats next least lazy etc, get the lazy ones out of the breed. Some of the best horses and jockeys didn't need it.
|
By:
Im not arguing with you, it's interesting. I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy of the situation.
You're happy to turn a blind eye when it suits you ? When you've backed a horse if it gets whipped while racing that doesnt really count does it ? Otherwise surely you'd have principles and you wouldn't bet on horse racing if you felt strongly about horses being whipped ? |
By:
There is hypocrisy, I'd agree. I've been conflicted about lots of animal issues over the years but I do eat meat occasionally and I wear leather shoes. But that doesn't mean any animal abuse shouldn't be called out. If the 24 hard strikes as being reported is true she need not worry about a 6 month suspension she should be arrested.
|
By:
Argued for ages that horses should not be struck with a whip in the name of entertainment, but the BHA continually pander to the jocks and the bubble with its ridiculous number rules. It's okay to hit them X number of times, but not Y. It's just nonsense.
Dujardin was at the top her sport. Mark Todd was another at the top of his sport. It really does make you wonder exactly what does go on that we never find out about. It clearly isn't the sanitised world we are continually spoon fed by the cheerleaders. |

How's this for a coincidence...
On the local news was saying she lives in Newent, Gloucestershire This got me thinking because I did a delivery for my business to this massive equestrian training place about a mile from Newent about 2 months ago Had a mile long drive then opened up to a fantastic house plus all these outdoor dressage areas plus huge barns... The place was immaculate with loads of staff Anyway, the bloke I was dealing with asked me if I would like to meet the owner, Carl, which I did very briefly as he was busy with Badminton and Olympics coming up. So, just been googling and realise he is Carl Hester OBE, former GB Gold medal winner and now coach to the GB team. Charlotte does all her training at his place and almost certainly the barn in the video is there. Got to go there again in about a month. I'll report back although I might have to tread carefully around the subject. |

I'm of the opinion the whip should be banned in racing, the argument they hardly feel the Pro Cush and it's the sound it makes. Why use it then, get a set of maracas instead.
It will finally get banned, the sight of jockey cracking a horse 50L behind and zero chance of winning will kill it off. |
By:
Pro Cush lol….I think Chapman blocked me regarding this joke…..I said it will always be seen as a whip…..blocked,pathetic imv…
|
By:
She should be banned from going near animals imo…
|
By:
Someone I follow on IG who appears to know the time of day reckons this is tip-of-the iceberg stuff within the world of classical dressage.
|
By:
Chapman and Weaver, both big fans of the term "Pro Cush"
|
By:
Freddie s well,Chapman has him well trained..
|
By:
Are we to be surprised this goes on, no.
This is what went on with circus acts and why they were banned. It's her laughing as the horse winces that sums up what a nasty piece of work she is. |
By:
has anyone the video the one I have seen on the news she hardly hit the horse at all, bit like generation z they think the meat just appears on supermarket shelves, bit strange the Dutch have released the video is it to cover up their convicted rapist.
|
By:
Chapman is a self publisising embarrassment who above anything else wants to stay aligned with the bubble. How else could he do those oh so chummy nauseating interviews which consistently end up being more about him than the interviewee. Tries desperately hard to be funny and fails time and again.
If there is nothing wrong with the whip why try and pretend it's called something else? More total nonsense. Most at Sky Sports Racing have made fools of themselves by rolling into line including the likes of Cattermole and Hunt. The worry is not about being banned by Chapman it's actually being concerned about it. |
By:
^ publicising
|
By:
She hits the horse numerous times. If she hadn't why do you think she has had to make a grovelling apology and been banned?
|
By:
Totally unacceptable behavior. You have to think by her demeanor when doing it that it's hardly the first time she's done it. There's no analogy with how meat appears on supermarket shelves although I agree that large swathes of the population are totally ignorant. I've worked in farming, slaughterhouse and also with horses and I can honestly say I've never mistreated an animal. I know someone who backs (breaks) horses for racing yards and he would be appauled by her behavior. Just shows that she aint that good a horsewoman if she needs to do all this. Wonder what Gary Witherford would think?
|
By:
I got to admit, having watched the video, I was expecting it to be a lot worse. If somebody told me that is how you train a horse to do dressage and dance etc, I wouldn’t have been too shocked. But I haven’t got a clue about horses, don’t think I’ve ever even touched one, let alone sat on one.
If it was that bad though, why was nobody shouting stop, or asking what she was doing at the time? If I saw somebody punching a baby, I wouldn’t just film them, and think right, I’ve got something on you if you ever cross me in the future. |
By:
They're not even just filming it. Someone, possibly the person videoing, is actually laughing.
|
By:
Expecting a lot worse? Striking a horse once is one too many.
The people watching would have been part of the bubble. Hence nothing. They couldn't see what is obviously upsetting and completely wrong to the outside world. You don't need to know anything about horses to know she did was very wrong. |
By:
I agree with Booster , I was expecting a lot worse there didn't seem to be a lot of force behind most of the " strikes " ,cue enraged onslaught .... will concede maybe there is a better way to train the horses though .
