Good luck Dave with your treatment, enjoyed your slot on the programme although it was a bit annoying every time you tried to mention certain jockeys Nick Luck tried to shut you up! I suppose they can't have anything on the show that could be deemed as damaging!
Hope you get at least 5 years..

Watched the programme last night....really enjoyed hearing some of TracksuitDaves stories. Sound like a great life....one I would have loved to have lived myself as I LOVE horseracing and gambling. A great character and wishing you all the best m8 with your treatment. With regards the C word I have read that starving the body ie fasting kills off any potential cancerous cells and regenerates new ones....anything is worth a try to prolong your life. I may be wrong but just trying to help.
Also Tracksuit any chance of a couple of tips on here m8?? CheersHappy

A fascinating but frustrating interview imo. TSD tended to ramble and repeat himself (a bit like Harry in his pomp) but it seemed like every time he got to an interesting point, Nick Luck interrupted him.

GL & GWS if possible.

Mentioning the ATR tracker within the first couple of minutes was a classic.

Other trackers are available LaughLaugh  including RacingTV.

Yes DG12. And whenever TSD mentioned ATR, which was often, he was quick to realise, and mention RTV for balance.

Except he never named RTV, he just called it "your channel".

Enjoyed the show Dave. Good luck with the treatment and hopefully you'll have many more years. A relative of mine had a cancer op in 2009 and he said at the time if he got 5 years he'd be happy. That's 15 years ago and he's still going strong. He was older than you also and is now 91 years old. Being positive helps also.

Good evening everyone, I've been contacted by a good friend of mine who knows Dave and he has asked me to make a post on his behalf as he doesn't post on the forum himself.

"....however, Dave isn't well at all, poor man.
A few lads are going to Spain soon - probably his last time.

He's also trying to go to the Grand National for the last time, but, may not make it sadly."

My mate wanted you all to have that update.

Do you know if it's Benidorm he's going to, I'm assuming it is as that was his favourite place... And is it for Cheltenham? Hope so, because I'm out there then and will know where to find him... haven't seen him for years and would love to see him again

Thanks for posting

I had a good chat with Dave this afternoon and mentioned this thread and that  people were asking after him. He was genuinely touched as he had no idea that folks on the forum were wishing him well and concerned about his health.

He said to say thanks and he will be watching Cheltenham with friends in Blighty and will be in Palma, Majorca for the Grand National meeting. Also he was a bit miffed about somebody on Twitter pretending he was him! Which was rather confusing to him.

He was in great form and backed a couple of winners whilst we chatted and had a nice wad of £50's which was pleasing to see.

Healthwise, he was very candid about that but it certainly wasn't holding him back from enjoying his day out. We swapped numbers and will no doubt meet up again

It was a pleasure being in his company I must say.

I spoke with slippy blue today at Plumpton, a nice guy. Anyway thanks again for your kind words, i am going to Palma nova majorca from the 11th until the 14th of April. Meeting in Cyrils bar on saturday the 12th from 7.30 onwards. So if anyone on the forum is going to be there on the 12th saturday night, your more than welcome to join me.  At the moment about 30 of my friends and counting are coming. Im putting some money behind the bar and a buffet on the night. As for my healf ive been told i have incurable cancer, but the hospital are trying to give me a better quality with a certain cancer tablet that hopefully slows it down. they have given me one to two years to live. I am a fighter but harder men than me have lost to this crap disease. I have had a horse named after me is South Africa, yes you have guessed it its called  (Tracksuitdave) A guy called me after being on the Nick Luck show and said would like to name a horse after me, at first i thought it was a joke, then he told me his name (Joao Da Mata)
he worked for ATR a few years ago.  What a lovley thing to do. Anyway the horse is now in training, and if i am fit enough im hoping to go to South africa to watch it run, Fingers Crossed. I am also doing a picece for the sun news paper that should be out just before Cheltenham. Once again Good Luck with your punting, and dont forget your all welcome to join me in spain. xxx

Keep battling away as we all must.
