city of Troy long odds on and derby 3rd Los Angeles franked the form by winning g the Irish derby and as the odds suggest he will be hard to beat and may well hack up here ,but at those odds I can easily pass obviously the likeliest winner but its a horse race and he did disappoint in the gns and even if he does win there are 2 or 3 places up for grabs and the w/o fav market , al riffa ran arc winner ace impact close last season and has chances also jayarbee is improving and lightly raced but at the prices I like the chance of see the fire at around 40/1 who on the face of it has plenty to find but she seems to be improving judging by her coronation stakes 5th where she finished much closer to  gns winner elmalka than she did in the gns to me she is crying out for this 10f and on her breeding the step up in trip could bring plenty of improvement 40/1 looks big to me ew .
selection see the fire 40/1 ew will prob play the 4 place market on here nearer race also . good luck opinions encouraged.

filly's record not great but haven't looked in great detail how many have lined up in the last 2 decades ,enable won it in 2019 ,prob playing for places if the fav is on his a game but he is dropping back in trip and unbackable at the price for the normal punter . I am expecting plenty of improvement from the filly for the step up to 10f  and she gets the  3 pound allowance but she will need it .her dam was very effective at this trip ,looks the 2nd string of the owners 2 by the betting but there may not be that much between them .

Good write up as usual, Foyles
Looking at the ew and place markets angle... It's Jayarebe for me, but bets will be scaled down if it looks like it's riding on the soft side, which is highly likely... Not sure this horse will handle it

Well you have had an effect on the market as everyone was 40/1 earlier but now only Bet3P. 33/1 and even 25/1 in places. Good luck.

A thumping win for City Of Troy, assuming his heart rate is normal. The softening ground is no issue to him.

it would be handy if someone who lived in sandown stuck a fork in their lawn to give an idea on the going today

Jayarebe will be a non runner.Sad

I shall have a small interest on Dancing Gemini who did not have the best of luck at Epsom and will appreciate the ground.

Meehan just ruined the race for the places, what a surprise.

I live 7 miles away and a fork would break if I tried to push it in my rock hard lawn! But of course I haven't been constantly watering to achieve "good" ground, if I had the fork would now go all the way in!

Down to 6 runners

Makes no difference as Morrison has pulled out his no-hoper as well.

What a shyte race for the Eclipse.

At this rate with the non runners you might want to have a token £1 each way on Hans Anderson at 200/1

Just in case they need to pull Troy up and the pacemaker breaks clear of the rest and they don’t have the quality to peg him back.

Unfortunately Jayarebe pulled out so down to seven runners. Betfair Sports offering CoT evens for a tenner. Hopefully Bet365 might super boost it later as well. I wouldn't back it at at 1/4, but evens looks a steal to me given soft in the ground description at Sandown. Quite like the looks of Tiffany in Yorkshire Oaks at 5/2.

Be good to see city of Troy again but could win it easily or not, dancing Gemini came from last in the derby and quickened up well so will be closer today, pity not 8 runners

Foyles as u noted Al Riffa might go well on the going and COT might need a firm surface to show his best

gonna be hard to beat tangle pacemaker  and softer ground will make sure its a stamina test hard to see any negatives with him tbf.
