Under The Twilight mentioned in part two ran 6th yesterday in a Class 2 at Windsor...might get a price next time.
Dwelt start, midfield, not clear run when against near rail from under 2f out, soon outpaced, rallying when not clear run inside final furlong, not recover (tchd 12/1)
RP analysis : Under The Twilight has never won above Class 4 level but was arguably unlucky not to do so here, getting no run along the stands' rail. She finished with plenty of running in her and there will be other days.

gonna find the time to go back through these "betting people vids watched em all or most of them during lockdown and most were helpfull in one way or the other , with no racing or other distractions had plenty of time to absorb the thoughts of those with greater knowledge of the game and picked up many good points from them , changed me from being a big mug to hopefully a smaller mug .

I've listened to all 4 clips twice now and the thing that personally stood out for me was that for 70%-80% of the best practices conveyed by Alan i actually do virtually the opposite and i've been sole punting since 2007 , which is obviously a lot less than Alan. All it proves to me though is the truth of the old adage that there's more than one way to skin a cat.
Well done Alan , most enjoyable

In one of his books he describes his biggest ever bet which was Labour to win 1997 General Elections. 100k it might have been.
The other aspect of his book I remember was the importance he placed on front runners (or near the lead). Not sure if that would still hold today.

Iam guessing his Forum account was withdrawn at the same time as his betting account. Seems petty to me.
why cant he post? not betting doesnt preclude it Iam guessing his Forum account was withdrawn at the same time as his betting account. Seems petty to me.
Don't think the racing review ( he said £900 a year I remember it as over £20 a week ) was a massive advantage. All the races were shown in the shops and repeated the next morning . If it had been the case that the pics were just being sent abroad and not legal in the shops then yes a big advantage. But tv was allowed from 1984.

well it didn't start him betting in five figures ged. I did the same thing but after watching the races in the bookies you knew the style of the winners and placed horses. I've always been dubious about looking for unlucky horses. Plenty of times there is nothing there anyway. Also with the recordings we had each horse on different vhs tapes. A real pain.I take it the likes of Timeform used different tech and were able to tell their subscribers cutting this so called edge.

Id say this would still be an important factor. Rarely are races truly run events and because of that you definitely want to be in the front third I'd say. Horses out their ground and too far back when the pace quickens rarely run their race.
