Those of a delicate disposition should maybe give this race a pass.
Last year's winner - Louis Treize – is an interesting runner but come with the dreaded timeform squiggle § - marking him as a somewhat unreliable character. That said, he should be a reasonable price in this 7 runner field at a track where he’s landed both his turf wins. Those two turf wins were off ratings of 48 and 50 and he runs off a rating of 46 today (actually 2 pound out of the handicap). The main question is whether he’ll be very slow away or left in the stalls, whichever way, with a likely burn up with 4 of these runner likely to contest the pace, he may well come home best of all of these.
He’s been steadily coming to hand this season and finished 3½ second to today’s favourite over CD LTO and is 9lb better off today, and it was Jacquelina who chased home Louis Treize in this race last year. Louis Treize is 2lb lower today and Jacquelina is 19 pounds higher (but has obviously improved). The fav Jacquelina has run well since finishing a close second at Thirsk yesterday, but runs off a 5 pound higher mark today, and could well be pressed for the lead today.
As I said not one for the faint hearted, but could be fun bet.
Hello Martin I was just thinking of putting up a thread about the same horse I started by coming from the angle of the jockey, young Ethan Jones, having his only ride of the day here Watched the last race, I made it 6 lbs better off but I'm sure you're right I'm gonna back it in the 3 to place market at around 2.5...and a smaller bet on the win at around 9 on here
Gl all
