I guess its because Southwell is a jumps meet and its going to take longer for a race to complete. Then add in the chance of a race starting later than planned thentheres less chance of a clash. It makes perfect sense to be fair - very odd from the BHA.

I think it just makes something easy become complicated.. They managed for the last few hundred years alternating between jumps and flat using 00, 15, 30, 45. As they are incapable of starting races on time, it seems like a particularly pointless exercise. |

Thirsk on Friday...six races....four sprint handicaps ( before one of them is probably split ) a mile maiden and a 12f handicap.

Haha, yes Stewarts and Greyhawk, not only that, but on a summers evening - tonight - they have 2 AW meets. Surely there have been enough AW evening mtgs all through the winter ?
