Going up the rail was not the best idea. Horse was legless on the camber. Comes wide must go close to winning. Finished on the snaff. All dressed up nowhere to go

Horse had enough room to get through initially. Murphy must have thought so to go there, seemed to dodge going through as eventually running into the back of a wall of horses all stopping near the line. What a horrible race...

Think that's more to do with punter perception tbh kriskin in that when he wins for you he's the best around but when losing he's average.
Time will tell but in that race he may just have been on a horse out of its depth against some totally unexposed types and flattered by the odds due to the 2nd place previously.
If these threads are ever to be taken literally a jockey can go from brilliant to average several times in a day which should indicate that some opinions are seriously suspect.

It looked like one of those rides where he never looked like winning, and eventually didn't want to finish any closer. These days bookmakers are quite good at cleaning up in condition races as well as their staple diet of handicaps. Loads of those tomorrow.
There was a thread the other day bumming Murphy up. As I suggested good luck in avoiding the 80% of losers, and the same goes for Buick and Doyle. You couldn't rely on any of them.
