He's not consistent. But when he has a couple of winners, he tends to have a few. 29% over the last 14 days. Some decent returns too. Then he goes quiet for a while. Anyone else noticed this, and are there trainers with similar trends?
Several with similar trends. I suspect (with no hard evidence) that there are logical reasons. Either that the best ones are worked together and all get entries the same week or in many cases, a big owner is taking a week off to go racing and gives trainers a heads up to prepare them all for that week. So many things going on if you do your homework.

there was always a thing with the hills yard where they'd have quiet spells, one of the reasons muted was the rape fields around lambourn and particularly the faringdon gallops, personally i always thought it was more likely how they prep them and charlie is prob doing similar to his father

The only person I knew who worked there was Bob Grace who looked after the top sprinter Baattash. He was previously with Jim Old and looked after a good horse that I had a share in called Meister. Bob would always stop for a chat if I went flat racing-usually Salisbury-and very kindly told me to follow Just the Judge before she ever ran. Not a bad tip. I also went on a Racegoers Club trip round the old Barry Hills yard when Rheingold was still an unraced 2yo. Always had a soft spot for the family firm.

He's had an unbelievably bad time of it. No winners for for a month, but quite a few seconds in the past few days.
Might, just might, be returning to form.
